I am still waiting for someone to annex England. (Perhaps it has happened and I have not noticed.)
It was by the Saxons (Germans). Where do you think the term "Anglo-Saxon" comes from?
Most recently it was annexed by Brussels...........(EU). Don't believe it? Who makes and enforces England's international trade policies?

The European Union makes law on a wide range of issues, including common trade rules, subsidies for farming and fisheries, environmental regulations, transport deals, and energy co-operation. That is by no means a complete list.

Although Parliament has ceded some sovereignty to the EU over these and other issues, the UK does still have a say. The government has the power to vote against - or sometimes even veto - proposals in the Council of Ministers.

Britain's 73 MEPs can support or oppose measures in the European Parliament. But once an EU law is agreed, the UK must abide by it or face censure from the judges at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, who make sure that no-one is breaking EU rules.

Not forgetting the Vikings or Celts or even the Spanish who are now part of our Cornish folk.

.. and even if we homosapiens took over we still have some 4% gene neaderthal.

In England we have always had a fluid population.

Scotland, Ireland or Eire and Wales less so.

I am a midlander so probably more anglo-saxon \ viking --ish. Personally I am proud of my pan european and a touch of neaderthal background.

4% neaderthal includes all of you americans and australians to. Just in case you get the feeling for living in a cave and eating reptiles. :)

For anyone expecting the opposite: sorry to disappoint but Robert Mueller has already said he doesn't recommend any further indictments. Sell your popcorn futures, short if possible. :^)

(Edit: Just to clarify, he hasn't said this officially, but this is what all the sources in Justice have confirmed. Could still change but not likely.)

Remember however Justice can't indict one person in particular. Also there is the possibility that is because any additional indictment would reveal an operative or method that is still a national security asset and he has chosen to not do so or recommend such an action.

SDNY however is free to pick up where he left off with perhaps many things too unrelated to what he was charged with investigating but which was uncovered by the rocks he turned over.

......so now we get another minimum 26 months of repetitive, redundant, irrelevant, insipid, screaming at the sky, by those too Dim to understand that there is no there, there............just more wasted time and lawyers hoovering up all the tax dollars the Trump Deranged can divert.

Now, what about the crimes that DID occur and were ignored by the DOJ and FBI concerning classified material, destroyed emails, bleached servers, Pakistani IT thieves with access to Congressional computers containing more classified material?

....and the water swirls around the bowl when the handle is depressed......

.....Justice may be blind, but facets of it are also deaf.........

Hate Crimes Have Apparently Spiked in Counties That Held Trump 2016 Rallies
Donald Trump has run a nonstop campaign of white fear ever since the beginning of his first presidential campaign. Now, new research indicates that, for some strange reason, hate crimes are off the charts in the places where Trump campaigned for president in 2016.

Three researchers at the University of North Texas have a new piece out in the Washington Post explaining the results of a study on this. Using an Anti-Defamation League map of hate crimes, the researchers found that in the American counties which hosted one of Trump’s 275 campaign rallies in 2016, there was a “226 percent increase in reported hate crimes over comparable counties that did not host such a rally.”

The WaPo link is https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/03/22/trumps-rhetoric-does-inspire-more-hate-crimes/?utm_term=.d7fb20845e4d

I ALWAYS question any story that uses percentages in lieu of facts.........

i.e. “226 percent increase in reported hate crimes over comparable counties that did not host such a rally.”

.......soooooo......... what were the ACTUAL numbers of 'reported hate crimes' before and after? Were there 3 reported prior to and 7 reported afterward?

.......and WHAT EXACTLY were those alleged crimes committed?

......and against whom?

The WaPo link leads to a rather tenuous piece of conjecture and when following the link to the 'research' done you encounter a list of 'panels' and 'conferences' rather than ACTUAL facts that comprise this leap to a conclusion.

Would an ANTIFA activist tearing the MAGA cap from a Trump supporter be classified as a hate crime? Would a thug, sucker punching a Conservative recruiter on the Berkeley Campus, qualify to be included in the statistics?

Just more stirring of the pot where the 'Stone Soup' is being prepared for the unquestioning masses of WaPo readers.....

But that's just my opinion.
And one of my hated memes........

....just my humble opinion.

Did you read the link,
While the researchers—professors Valerie Martinez-Ebers and Regina Branton, and doctoral candidate Ayal Feinberg—stress that they can’t pinpoint Trump’s campaign rhetoric as the root cause of this, the numbers correlate with a nationwide spike in hate crimes since 2016. The authors cite a 17 percent increase in reported hate crimes nationwide from 2016 to 2017, Trump’s first year in office, which marked the third consecutive year they rose.

And according to FBI hate crime statistics from 2017, there were over 900 incidents of alleged anti-Jewish hate crimes that year, as well as 273 incidents of alleged anti-Muslim hate crimes, over 1,000 incidents of anti-LGBTQ hate crimes, and over 2,000 incidents of anti-black hate crimes.

IS THERE A U.S. FEDERAL CRIME CALLED COLLUSION?

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani in July 2018 said, “I have been sitting here looking in the federal code trying to find collusion as a crime. Collusion is not a crime.” Trump wrote on Twitter the next day, “Collusion is not a crime, but that doesn’t matter because there was No Collusion.”

Why do so many Americans have this hangup on words?
Like collusion.
There has probably not been been any.
However a better word or description is "improper communication with a foreign country".
In Sweden we now have a problem with the Swedish ambassador to China that had some secret talks with China "officials".
Well she's now fired.
Simple as that.

You mean why does Rump use a word that has dropped out the the spoken vocabulary of most Americans, until he had a tweet storm? Because he knows that isn't conspiracy and he knows he base is dumb enough to confuse the two words.
See if he were to say "conspiracy to commit espionage against the United States of America" he might not be able to say that didn't happen.

OBW last time there was conspiracy to commit espionage against the United States of America it seems the Southern District of New York brought the charges. Bodes very well for Rump.
