Another asinine post. You stated that both the radical left & right are just as bad. Being asked as to your opinion who is better suited to replacing them resulting in your reply, clearly shows your reverence for baiting. :-)

It's Easter Sunday, take a break. I hear Kit Kat do great Easter eggs.

A Rump comes up every few years
https://www.upi.com/Archives/1913/04/21/California-lawmaker-says-people-demand-anti-alien-land-law/4165379407181/
Senator Ernest S. Birdsall of Placer, County CA wrote:
After years of delay in undertaking this problem of land ownership by unassimilable aliens for reasons of expediency, with the same excuses for inaction offered by succeeding legislatures, the people of California have become impatient of diplomacy and world politics, and are no longer to be denied in their imperative demand.

It is not the so-called "jingo" element that is back of this antialien land legislation, but first of all the farmer. Either he will get relief through his legislative representative or the question will be decided directly by the initiative. If the antialien land law went to the people, it would pass by a vote of 3 to 1.

The two big propositions involved are these:

First - Have we the right to enact such legislation? If we have not then the act would be automatically offset by the constitution and existing treaty rights.

Second - Is this a demand by the whole people of California? The most conclusive answer is the overwhelming vote by which the alien land law passed the assembly. The question in the senate now is, do the people want the committee substitute as now drafted, or do they want it amended to exclude European capital?

This is not a hysterical outburst against the Japanese or any other alien people by California. It is the cool determination of American citizens of the west coast to prevent the encroachment of a race problem and for the maintenance of their own economic standards.

Prevent the Japanese and other nonassimilable aliens from acquiring land which they are now doing to an alarming degree, or face a competition with "the squat" labor on the adjoining quarter section that means economic retrogression.

The problem is bound to come up every two years hence unless settled now, and during every one of these intervals the alien is acquiring a larger circle of land.

Delay but makes the situation more serious. The antagonistic feeling which this may inspire between the two nations is bound to become more intense as the interests at stake become more extended.

I am for antialien land ownership today because I am not willing to procrastinate and say "after us the deluge." I know that the majority of the members of the California legislature feel the same way.

Trump’s Washing Machine Tariffs Cost Consumers $800,000 Per Job Created
If the Dealmaker-in-Chief thinks it’s a good deal to force US consumers to pay $820,000 annually in higher costs to create a new $43,000-per-year factory job, then he might have to re-think his deal-making strategies or take some remedial economics courses in the economics of trade protection. Is that Trump’s idea of the kind of “winning” we’re supposed to get sick of?

From WaPo article on same subject shows US manufacturers of washing machines uphold fiduciary duty

President Trump has repeatedly sought to portray his tariffs on Chinese goods as a major windfall for the U.S. treasury that has extracted “billions of dollars” from China. But the reality is that tariffs are typically absorbed by consumers in the form of higher prices.

And now a new study shows just how big that markup can be.

When economists at the University of Chicago and the Federal Reserve studied the 2018 duty on washing machines, they found the expected rise in retail prices from foreign manufacturers such as Samsung and LG. Surprisingly, though, these brands also increased dryer prices. Then domestic manufacturers followed suit, simply because they could.

All told, the research shows, U.S. consumers are spending an additional $1.5 billion a year on washers and dryers as a result of the tariffs. That’s an extra $86 for each washing machine and $92 for each dryer, the authors estimate.

And less than 10 percent of that goes to the U.S. treasury — about $82.2 million — the study showed.

Also, just in case anyone would like to use the report's exoneration of Donald Trump's involvement in Russian interference in the 2016 election to also claim that such never happened... well, give it a read. The complete redacted report, all 448 pages of it, can be read online or downloaded from here.

Only 9 pages in, in the introduction to Volume 1:

The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion.

It goes into much detail... the Internet Research Agency was of course behind it, and payments in BitCoin were not enough to stop the funds being traced. Basically all of this was known before the report was released anyways, right from the days following the election.

(No, I'm not claiming the election is somehow now invalid... there's no provision for that anyways.) The only ambiguity was whether Donald Trump was personally involved. So far that has not been established, so the presumption of innocence applies.

Understanding that Obstruction of Justice is a problem (big?) for Trump.

The Trump/Russia Delusion hysteria and the so-called Steele dossier, a political opposition research hit on Trump, funded in part by Hillary Clinton, that was provided to American intelligence and law enforcement, and formed the basis for the investigation.

Is a problem (big?) for the DNC and Obama's Administration's DOJ and FBI.

Both sides may face criminal charges.

BTW: Russia's historical attempt to influence elections is a real concern. But should not deflect attention from the more concerning activities of both political sides inside the USA.

There is a fact checker article in the WaPo of the Steele document as reported in the Mueller report. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/04/24/what-steele-dossier-said-vs-what-mueller-report-said/?utm_term=.dfc7ca356027
Basically all it says the only thing not factual is Cohen's visit to Prague. Otherwise,
The dossier itself was not intended to be published and consists largely of rumors and gossip — the starting point for investigative reporters and law enforcement officials, not the end point.

Plus it must be noted as I have said before the Russia interference investigation started months before the FBI and others received the dossier, so therefore cannot be the basis for the investigation.

If so... Back to normal :-)

A normal of 'ignore it and it will go away'.........based on lies and ignorance of what is actually going on. Shiny objects to distract the masses as their Freedoms are taken away one by one.

Interesting piece on the Sri Lanken CHRISTIAN massacre........and why the left won't call it like it is..........anywhere. And don't bother condemning the news source because it's not the NYT or CNN, the truth is truth no matter who espouses it.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2019/04/23/why-obama-and-clinton-tweeted-about-easter-worshippers-not-christians/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tds-fb&fbclid=IwAR2iV5OMvqmZB3Rp8J5bZwq7fu1cdSIuimRfCZ3lvUFpBCxlFPc0m_YItsc
Why Obama and Clinton Tweeted About ‘Easter Worshippers,’ Not Christians
.....Many conservatives have long been fixated on Clinton—so much so that probably any other Democrat would have defeated Donald Trump, as conservative anger specifically toward her propelled many people to the polls.

Similarly, Republican Never-Trumpers are fixated on Trump rather than policy. They care more about Trump’s personal flaws than about the mortal dangers the left poses to America and the West or about the uniquely successful conservative policies Trump promulgates.

And independents all claim to vote “for the person, not the party.”

"Islamic Terrorists just need a hug." "There is no crises at the border." "Everything will be OK if you just trust the Government". "Some people, did something." "I have firm evidence of collusion."

....and the hits just keep on coming.

No High Crimes and Misdemeanors. No Impeachment.

6 more years of intelligent policies to help The People, not The Party.
The rabid dogs of his own Party will shred Biden long before 2020 in their own greed for power and the ensuing chaos will insure Trump gets a second term.............and the legitimacy of THAT election will be questioned and 'screamed at the sky'.

A choice between now President Pence or former Vice President Biden for President in 2020?
"I'm a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order." Mike Pence. First try.
"I will be 77 year as the oldest President in the US history if being elected." Joe Biden. Third try.
Aren't there any other candidates?

The Washington Free Beacon

And what the Obama DOJ and FBI then did for apparent political reasons.
They added it to the already open investigation.

Judicial Watch: FBI Admits Hillary Clinton Emails Found in Obama White House
APRIL 23, 2019

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that a senior FBI official admitted, in writing and under oath, that the agency found Clinton email records in the Obama White House, specifically, the Executive Office of the President. The FBI also admitted nearly 49,000 Clinton server emails were reviewed as result of a search warrant for her material on the laptop of Anthony Weiner.

E.W. (Bill) Priestap, assistant director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division, made the disclosure to Judicial Watch as part of court-ordered discovery into the Clinton email issue.

U.S District Court Judge Royce Lamberth ordered Obama administration senior State Department officials, lawyers, and Clinton aides, as well as Priestap, to be deposed or answer writer questions under oath. The court ruled that the Clinton email system was “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency.”

Priestap was asked by Judicial Watch to identify representatives of Hillary Clinton, her former staff, and government agencies from which “email repositories were obtained.” Priestap responded with the following non-exhaustive list:

Bryan Pagliano
Cheryl Mills
Executive Office of the President [Emphasis added]
Heather Samuelson
Jacob Sullivan
Justin Cooper
United States Department of State
United States Secret Service
Williams & Connolly LLP

“This astonishing confirmation, made under oath by the FBI, shows that the Obama FBI had to go to President Obama’s White House office to find emails that Hillary Clinton tried to destroy or hide from the American people.” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “No wonder Hillary Clinton has thus far skated – Barack Obama is implicated in her email scheme.”

Judicial Watch’s discovery seeks answers to:

Whether Clinton intentionally attempted to evade the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by using a non-government email system;

whether the State Department’s efforts to settle this case beginning in late 2014 amounted to bad faith; and

whether the State Department adequately searched for records responsive to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request.

There is no Deep State........................right............(I mean Left).
A complete copy of Priestap’s interrogatory responses is available here. https://www.judicialwatch.org/document-archive/jw-v-state-hrc-emails-priestap-answers-01242-2/
