I don't believe it is Legal or Constitutional to overturn a Legal and Constitutionally elected president.Didn't know anyone but Rump was alleging vote fraud. Just because I don't like the results, or his statements regarding police misconduct. So Mr. Internal Affairs officer from NY, you have no issue with the chief law enforcement officer for the State of NY saying, on video tape, to an assembly of every Sheriff and Chief of police of a department in NY and their top brass and the media that they should rough up suspects. Just what would you recommendation be, as an Internal Affairs officer, with those facts when that case lands on your desk? Are you going to? 1) Do your job? 2) See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil? 3) Play games and bury the file? (refuse to answer) We are all waiting to hear you answer Mr. Internal Affairs officer. |

To me so far all trump has said and done is much hot air that has come from someone who has never help an important elected office so you cannot expect him to understand. However his comments to the police force of NY city is the most worrying thing I have heard from a politician in the so called "free world".. It is what you would expect from China , North Korea and the like, it is chilling and the first step down the extreme right wing road that America will probably now take. Guilty until proven innocent. Never thought I would hear a president of the USA say that. No matter what you think that is what he said and what he believes. Whatever else he does, I hope he is not remembered for this. I only hope the people in the USA can escape what comes next. I somehow doubt it. |

Didn't Reagan say something along the lines of "Government is not the solution, it is the problem"? Sarge, Well, Reagan was correct in that statement, in my opinion, but..... Focusing on the second line... To some/many/most people, Trump is A problem, all right. But Trump is A problem to different people for different reasons. To me, Trump is A problem, a huge problem, because of his populist campaign and stance. I think that we can all agree that there are some things that Government should not be allowed to do no matter what level of popular support those things have. Where we all differ is exactly what is on that list. My list of these is quite different than your list or indeed the list of anyone else. But, back to populism. That way lies dictatorship... The loss of Freedom and Liberty. This is not only 'my' opinion, but it has been repeatedly confirmed down through human history. One of the problems in this country is that many/most of The People have confused the 'good of the nation' with the party rivalry between the Republicans and the Democrats. For more on this, see George Washington's 'farewell address'. Another one of the problems in this country is the corruption in Government. Government power + money = corruption. There are many, many OTHER problems, quite a number of which have no easy/possible solution. For these reasons, I am not only a Libertarian, but also a Libertarian Minarchist (there are other 'types' of Libertarian, you know). YMMV (your mileage may vary)... As I have said since WELL before the 2016 election, Trump is poison. I fear he will lead to a dictatorship. But, I do think that Trump is better than the Establishment candidate from the Democrats would have been. Also remember that the Establishment of BOTH the D's and the R's kinda hates the Trumphole right now... As I have repeatedly said, political theater at its finest... Yes, I do have a few ideas on how to improve things in the USA, but I don't think I am going to climb on the soapbox at this time. I have mentioned them before. I will leave one thought out there as I close this post. Yes, Trump BAD... but the viable alternatives to Trump are WORSE. Too bad the candidate I voted for didn't win. We would be having a national debate on the virtues of Cannabis Candy if he had, instead of all this Trump schizz... <wink> <grin> Be well. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

Bernie Vine... Er yes, but what possible relevance has that to do with the leader of what is sometimes called the "free world" saying it is perfectly OK to beat up suspects. I was comparing his stance to what probably goes on in North Korea. "Guilty until proven innocent" My point was it is a very slippery slope he seems to be embarking on. The mass murder and enslavement come later. |

Trump stance regarding bumping a Murderer's head against a door. Has no relationship to Mass Murdering Nazi's, Marxists, et al. They aren't a murderer until they are convicted of such in a court of law. Until then they are a murder suspect and presumed innocent. Of course with your extensive law enforcement experience you would know this... This is the same essential legal principle you expect others to apply in not treating the POTUS as though he's been convicted of collusion with a foreign power to influence the election before this has actually occurred, so please try to be consistent. :^) |

Oh I see, the President of the United States condones beating SUSPECTS and you see no correlation . Police brutality sanctioned by the state, what next? Morning roll call finishing with "lets be brutal out there"! If you were a police officer, I can see you were one of the many who immediately believed all suspects are guilty, otherwise why would you say "murderers". The police arrest "suspected murderers". My point is as the rule of law breaks down, which it certainly seems to, then the mass murders follow. Please don't paint me with the same tired phrases of "not condemning" mass murdering states. I do totally condemn them, but they all start somewhere and somehow. |

People such as yourself are too easily defined :-) As a teacher you'll like this, a case of mathematics 101. Your silliness has no boundaries, which is sad because real ethical, moral & intelligent people do.=(n) You agree with betreger that there is a correlation between Petit Theft and the Murder and Rape of a Women.=(x) Both of you have stepped over the line.=(y) n= any statement made by any poster aside from yourself x= The statement you "think" other posters make y= The result of what you think it should be |
