"Renegade Dawn", book #7 in the "Renegade Star" series by J. N. Chaney. Good series of Sci-fi, although most of the Kindle books I've read have typos all through them, but good books nonetheless. I like books with the same main characters all through them. Makes it easier to focus on the story and imagine what the characters are 'up to' throughout.

Other good Sci-fi book series I've read:

Ryk Brown:
"Frontiers Saga" series (Parts 1 & 2, with 15 books per part - planned on 5 parts total [75 books]).
"Arrival", begins the "Frontiers Saga" series.
"Netcast" series, 3 books, continues it.

Mike Shepherd:
"Kris Longknife" series (23 books).

Finished reading Renegade Children, book #8 in the J.N. Chaney series; now I'm reading the standalone 'prequel', Nameless. Also read Book #1 in his Orion Colony series. Awaiting Book #9 in the Renegade series (Renegade Union) and Book #2 in the Orion series.

Finished Book #2 in the Orion Colony series, now just waiting for both Book #3 of that series (next month) and also Book #9 of the Renegade Star series, as well as Book #11 in Ryk Brown's Frontiers Saga (Part 2) series.

BBC Radio 4 has a feature Book of the Week. This week was Michael Caine's biography "Blowing the Bloody Doors Off" a line from the original 1969 film "The Italian Job" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064505/
You can hear extracts on BBC iPlayer https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0001s16
The podcast is of course shortened, but it's nice to hear Michael telling his own story. Otherwise, use a book token from Christmas maybe.
Enjoy

The new book of Stephan Hawking about all great questions in life. In the end he talks about what could be the salvation of humankind, who is devolving as we speak. Nuclear Fusion was his answer. Very interesting book, quite illuminating.

Well I've finished Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series so I'm now reading the Powers trilogy that she did with Elizabeth Ann Scarborough.

Cheers.

PR "Aurora" (Kim Stanley Robinson). You can never go back home, but for the explorers of a multigenerational starship co-managed by an AI, this is the only frickin option. And not all Earthlings are welcoming it back.

Next in my TRQ:
Ann Druffel, "How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction" (because, you know, shirt and giggles aside, you never know when this kind of knowledge can become handy. Besides, I want to believe know, which is reason enough.)

"Out There: A Scientific Guide to Alien Life, Antimatter, & Human Space Travel", Michael Wall.
Did you like it ? Will probably add it to one of my tsundokus anyway :)

Two books are being tackled: "12 Rules for Life", by Jordan B. Peterson, and, "A People's History of the United States", by
Howard Zinn.
