Here's an update on the Water Crisis in Yermo @ the Trinity Oasis Palms MHP:

Edison sees power to the Residential Meter and will not send a truck out, so the park is going to get a temporary Generator from I guess the Home Depot and hook that up, I recommended to the manager that the Park take the water well Pumps off grid, via solar photovoltaic and a battery backup for night usage, cause this has happened before(She said She'd pass this on to the current park owner).

Yes I called Southern California Edison, they refused to send a truck, they say there must be a meter and breakers and for a Park Employee to go reset the breakers, totally insensitive to the fact that the wells need power and the wells don't have a meter possibly, since one is not showing on their system...

Sorry to hear about your water pump problems, Vic. :-(

In PC Hardware news, I just got Andromeda - El Capitan FULLY functional with sound!!! The sound driver was the last step that was missing... NOW, I have a FULLY functional MAC OS X El Capitan on PC Hardware!!! :-)

Thanks TL.

Yeah 8 acres and no water anywhere, can't even flush the toilets, cook, clean or get something to drink.

I guess Monday I'll call the HCD and/or the CPUC, unfortunately they seem to be closed on the weekend...

SCE is being stubborn.

Well the park has delivered some bottled water and there is a well company coming out, I think on Monday to look at the wells and see what is going on...

I was told if I need more, to just come on over, still can't wash clothes or do other things, but I can wash dishes and cook at least...
The old chair at least serves a porpoise again, it's somewhere that I can set the water bottles at while I catch My breath from getting the bottles out of the car trunk, then a mad dash to the steps carrying both at once, yeah I made it, barely, I didn't want to make two trips.

Vic, if SCE has delivered power as far as the meter, they are meeting their obligation 100%. If it is a power problem, the park should call an electrician. Calling a well company won't really help unless the guy just happens to also be an electrician. It is also possible you aren't getting told the entire story. It may be the issue is the pumps themselves, although to have both fail at the same time ... I wonder if when the manager got the story from SCE if the breaker was reset and then tripped right away. But again I'd expect (per code) each pump to be on a separate breaker.

There aren't many failures that should affect both pumps at once. A failure in the power line from the meter to the breaker panel, but that likely would burn the pump house down. (If the lights in the pump house turn on that isn't the cause, nor any SCE problem) A float switch failure so the system thinks the water tank is full. Water table falling low enough both pumps suck air and overheat and trip thermal protectors. Those thermal protectors may be on (inside) the relay boxes not the breaker panel and if you don't know to look for them ... System has been running on one pump for a while and that one finally quit.

All true, I asked the manager how the pumps were hooked up and yep She didn't know.

But I only have Sunday to endure nightmare, hopefully water service will be restored on Monday, I hope. I'd rather water service be restored on Sunday Myself...

I think I'll go to Jack in a Box for Dinner soon, since I don't want to build up a large amount of dishes to clean...
