Man walking his dog knocked unconscious by falling cat

In the 45-second CCTV footage, which currently has more than 120,000 views on YouTube, a man named Gao can be seen going for a stroll with his golden retriever in Harbin, Heilongjiang, local media outlet the Paper reports.

Then, out of nowhere, a black and white cat drops out of the sky and hits him on the head, causing him to collapse to the sidewalk unconscious.

Mountain Lion Cub Severely Burned by CA Wildfires Has Whiskers Completely Singed Off
One of the many difficult aspects of dealing with wildfires is caring for the animals who are injured as a result of the blaze.

This little fighter who was discovered last week in California is a young mountain lion, only a few weeks old.

He was discovered in the wake of the destructive Zogg Wildfire on Wednesday by Cal Fire.

Cal Fire called the Shasta County Sheriff’s Department, who called the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, who called the Oakland Zoo to see if they could help. By 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, the cub was in the care of the zoo.

Video: Vermont resident records close encounter with what they believe is a black bobcat
A Vermont resident recorded an unusually close encounter with what they believe was a black bobcat recently. Melissa Patnoe originally posted the video to Facebook.

Bobcats are "rarely seen" in Vermont despite being a very common species, officials with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department say.

"The main reasons for the lack of bobcat sightings are twofold," an informational posting from the group reads. "It is solitary by nature and it is crepuscular, or mostly active at dawn and dusk."

After 5 Days, Cat Stuck In 50-Foot Galewood Tree Rescued Thanks To Neighbors And (A) Tree Service Company
GALEWOOD — For five days, Northwest Side neighbors tried desperately to rescue a cat stuck in a 50-foot tree.

Through storms and high winds, the cat clung to the tree — and no one could get up high enough to help.

Now, the orange tabby is recovering at an animal hospital, thanks to Galewood neighbors, cat rescuers from across the city and (a) Tree Service, a team of Chicago arborists who rescued the kitty before it was too late.

A giant cat picture was just discovered among the Nazca Lines
Archaeologists haven’t yet located an accompanying giant meme caption.
The cat joins the ever-growing list of about 900 shapes and images that ancient people etched into the Nazca Desert soil.

... People created the giant cat figure between 2,500 and 1,800 years ago, according to the chief archaeologists for the Nazca Lines site, Johny Isla. He told Spanish news agency Efe that the cat looks very similar to cat motifs on textiles from the Paracas culture, which flourished in the area between 500 BCE and 200 CE—centuries before the Nazca culture, which usually gets credit for most of the valley’s geoglyphs.

Cat Floods Owner's Home After Learning New 'Trick'
... “I knew as soon as I walked into the living room what had happened,” she said. “I ran upstairs and the tap was on full and water was overflowing the sink. It was everywhere.”

“Amber (the cat) thought it was great. She was sat in the kitchen doorway into the living room, tapping her paws away in the water merrily like it was great fun. No remorse whatsoever.

Cats: Not a fan favourite when the critters are draped around an office packed with tech
Welcome to the last On Call before Christmas, and a reminder that furry friends and technology do not always make good bed, or even floor, fellows.

... "My first call out to this client was to sort out why the power supply units kept failing in the PCs," explained Andrew.

You’ll likely need it.

Cats may catch COVID-19 from sleeping on their owner's bed
New research being presented at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), held online this year, suggests that people with COVID-19 frequently pass it on to their pets. Cats that sleep on their owner's bed seem to be at particular risk of infection..

Lucky the Ninja Kitty and Her Carpet Crawling Will Leave You Rolling

In June, her humans shared a video of Lucky making a little mewing sound as she appeared to stalk the cameraman across the carpet. Lying close to the floor, she uses her claws for traction, shuffling along in a way you have to see for yourself. It could be impossible not to laugh, and it looks like she’s having so much fun.
