Ah, more on this one, it would appear he was picked up before he boarded a plane having junked some stuff including a gun into a waste bin, so not what it first looked like. He could be in real do-do if he was leaving the UK as we take a very dim view on the possession of guns in public places....

I am sorry to see such hate and bias information being shared here. First if you want to understand why ISIS even exists, here is a great 5 minute history. Isis exists in part because of us. But remember, Isis does not represent even a small fraction of Muslims. Should Christians be judged by the Inquisition?

Second, Islam is not a religion of violence. Yes there are violent statements in the Koran. But there is even more violence in the Bible. [Remember too, that most scholars believe that the Koran is a poor translation of the Bible.] Like Christianity, Islam grew out of the Jewish religion.

Examples of Biblical commands to kill:

"Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death." (Deuteronomy 17:12)

"Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death." (Exodus 21:15)

The solution is to defuse the situation, not inflame it. PBS put together a good summary about Islam. Understanding is 50% of the solution (Ben Franklin) I suggest each of you read it. The press is about making money. They make money by sensationalizing, not by teaching the truth.
