Thanks!

Not every day that you find yourself listening to Russian bands. The genre is "atmospheric black metal" - my favourite.

Two more space-related atmospheric black metal albums would be:

Mesarthim (AUS) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRFjJ3tHato
Darkspace (CH) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp5bWy-a5Jo

They are much more intense than the "Lost Sun" album though, so be warned. I love it of course. (The lead vocalist of Darkspace is female, at that! Fantastic voice she has.)

(And, sorry, no, I did not look into your instructions on how to make hyperlinks from posts.)

(And one final post from me tonight - the space-related, futuristic Norwegian band Arcturus. Their latest album is not available in full on Youtube, but you can at least enjoy one of its tracks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uWIg5hI7hE )

Zepparella.
"Zepparella is an all-female American hard rock tribute band founded and formed in 2005 in San Francisco, California by the band's drummer: Clementine. The current band consists of vocalist/ Noelle Doughty ("Robert Plant"), Guitar/ Gretchen Menn ("Jimmy Page"), bassist/ Angeline Saris ("John Paul Jones") and drummer/ Clementine ("John Bonham")."

I think they do a rather fine job of it.
It takes a lot of nerve, and talent, to cover Led Zeppelin and not get booed off of the stage.
And might I say, not hard to look at either..........meow meow meow.

It's about 10 til 3 am on a Sunday night, and I can't sleep, so I stepped outside on the back porch to look up at the few stars I can see here, and boy were those crickets chirping it up tonight!

Beethoven Sonata op 111 played by Murray Perahia. Why it has only 2 movements? Read "Doktor Faustus" by Thomas Mann.

I have met Dusty Hill when he and the band was in Stockholm some thirty years ago.
Then he didn't have a white beard:)

A Rossini funeral Mass, by Italian authors, discovered by an American scholar, played by the Italian National Orchestra with Riccardo Chailly conducting. The end piece is by Giuseppe Verdi, who initiated the process among many difficulties.

Time for some out of this world Christmas music.
Chris de Burgh - "A Spaceman Came Travelling"

First released in 1975, this track gained far more popularity a decade later on the heels of De Burgh's breakthrough "Lady in Red." He turned the Christmas tale into something extra-terrestrial, but the big hook here is the catchy "Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na" in the chorus.
