i have a asus crosshairs formula V board with 4 pcie slots ..im strongly considering now selling the 2 290xs and getting 4 of something else without spending to much money... Do you realize what kind of performance you could have with four GTX-750 TI SC cards crunching 2 Units at a time on each card???!!!??? However, for heat reasons, even though the MOBO may take four cards, I wouldn't put that many in all stacked side by side, by side, by side... I might do two, or if air flow allowed, maybe three. Someone else here, maybe in another Thread, mentioned their MOBO could take five cards; but, only put three cards in, spacing them out evenly for reasons of airflow. Anyway, as has been mentioned here, the GTX-750 TI SC can be had for $99. I personally haven't seen it that low. I've seen it at $109 per card. Good luck with what you choose; I HIGHLY recommend the EVGA GTX-750 TI SC. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

I own AMD graphics cards exclusively and have had no problem with the drivers. |

I own AMD graphics cards exclusively and have had no problem with the drivers. Been watching that for gradual moves to heterogeneous applications, and it seems to be mostly 390x specific issues/complaints , in gaming too (or especially) "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. Roughly, a RAC of 11,000 per card (MB only). Grant Darwin NT |

yeah 11k is not that much for some of us but 11k can be a lot for someone who never crunched gpu before and was stuck at 4-5k..... 4 of those cards would catapult that person to roughly 44k http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7646824 ^^^ This will give you a estimate on what to expect from these cards I came down with a bad case of i don't give a crap |

I own AMD graphics cards exclusively and have had no problem with the drivers. Perhaps the old GCN 1.1 GPU isn't handling the ramped up clock rates very well. I do find most of the manufactures also factory overclock all of their cards as well. With it being nearly impossible to find one running stock/spec clock rates. I haven't really been looking at the higher end cards as I tend to not spend much more than ~200 on a GPU. I own AMD graphics cards exclusively and have had no problem with the drivers. Yeah, don't know much about the architecture myself, though with your mention of factory overclocks it does start to smack of 560ti, whereby non reference factory overclock often shipped with insufficient core voltage. Then could be something totally different of course. It seems as though nv might have used the experience to dial in the GPU boost adaptive clocking in these later versions, and dropped the Cuda power state. Perhaps consumer AMD cards are being configured with acceptable artefact limits as well. All theorising I guess, but still seems interesting that corporations/engineers might still be resisting learning from experiences of the competition. And to confirm that, here's a GTX 750 Ti I started from scratch on a new account on 31st. August - around midday, so just over 27 days before it cracked 11,000 RAC, and still rising. It's running as described here - MB only, two tasks at a time, SETI not crunched on the host CPU. The notch is where we lost some crunch time, because of the fire in the co-lo. |

I have 2 computers with 750Ti's My AMD 4200 has 14,881 RAC ... the CPU does nothing really My Intel i5 has 23,964 RAC ... this CPU feeds the card much better |
