Thank you very much for keeping us advised, Matt. And best of luck in sorting the remaining issues. Meow! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Still not out of the woods (the scheduler still has some issue so no work is being sent) At least I was able to report all the work that had accumulated. Hopefully the Scheduler will be able to send work soon. In addition to "No tasks sent" the Scheduler is also telling me my App_info doesn't have a usable version of AP v7, which is true. I run Lunatics & didn't install it. Also my preferences are set not to ask for it. So I'm not sure why it keeps telling me about the lack of APv7 in my App_info. Grant Darwin NT |

I'll be out of work in 33 minutes. Edit: Uh no, I am out of work already as those last two were -9 overflows. :-( @Grant, So I'm not sure why it keeps telling me about the lack of APv7 in my App_info. But did you set your project preferences to fetch work for AP v7? If BOINC is allowed to fetch AP v7 work through there, but your app_info.xml file does not have an entry for it, you will get that error message. |

Still not out of the woods (the scheduler still has some issue so no work is being sent) but FYI the code was completely tested in beta, but that validator bug got missed because it worked in beta - due to the ids being less than 2**31 unlike in the public project where the ids were between 2**32 and 2**31, thus causing some confusion between signed/unsigned. Whoops. Thanks for the update Matt, and sorry I was right about it being a unsigned to signed conversion. But when I converted some code from 32 to 64 bit O/S a lot of those types of issues came to the fore. I learned to not use the compiler size int or long but use a space declared size such as uint64_t so there was no possibility of confusion. |

Should be working now, or at least it the scheduler seems to be doling out work (this was actually a bug that had nothing to do with the 64-bit upgrade). It may be a while before problems are completely shaken out (usually the case when things are effectively offline for a day or so). We'll see how well things are operating tomorrow and take it from there.... - Matt -- BOINC/SETI@home network/web/science/development person -- "Any idiot can have a good idea. I picked up 2 as well on 1 machine I recently picked up one, but with such a large RTS you would think that you would receive more than one at a time - or is that more than one every fifth time :) . |

Well there is one change I've noticed on all 7 AP's I've got so far.. Instead of AstroPulse v7 Anonymous platform ... under app name column, there is simple Not in DB. I hope it's only temporary hickup. Workunit 1856190645 Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

OK, who's let those VLAR's go to my GPU's? I don't like aborting tasks but those will be. Cheers. |

Yup, he's right I'm seeing VLARs in the GPUs. I wouldn't mind if I had the new v7.08 opencl_nvidia_sah that runs them, but I'm still on v7.00 lol Keep an eye out for them. There's a lot of them Zalster |

Ouch, One of my machines is that as well. Hmmm Edit, you think it has to do with using the Lunatics? Edit 2... All computer running Lunatics are listed as not in DB |

So....What does This Mean? Sounds like there are a few rough edges left over from yesterday's upgrade, it will be interesting to see if they validate. |
