My GPU is dry. And my CPU is almost out. I believe everything will be okay before my wu's are gone completely. [edit] No uploads crossing over. All communications deferred at present. |

A different kind of hacking http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article25839070.html In a news release issued late Tuesday afternoon, officials with the FBI’s Sacramento field office said that although customers in a variety of Northern California service areas were affected by the outage, the vandalism that resulted in the outages was confined to “a single geographic location in the San Francisco Bay Area.†|

Based on the Sent dates, I got 197 APs in this flurry for my two crunchers, as of this post. As to why so many, I haven't the foggiest. But (for now) I ain't complaining. Up to roughly 500 now. Please don't hate on me... (But I AM lovin' it!!). |

Up to roughly 500 now. No hate here. I've got 1004 in progress at the moment. ;-) |

I haven't see these many APs in a long, long time :) Don't think My computers have had this full of a cache ever. Looking at the server, seems like 6 channels left to go thru. Then this feeding frenzy will be over for some time. |

With temperatures the rest of the week being above 30C (86F) and on Saturday/Sunday expecting to be in the direction of 40C (104F), good cooling is required. Especially in a flat that warms up like an oven. Though I doubt I'll do much Seti during the next week / heat wave as I lack water cooling on the GPU. I've decided to wait until the temperatures go down a tad before changing over the whole shebang, because of one difficult side-effect of this heat: I am static 90% of the time. Do not want to handle electronic components during that time. I've already had a shock from my new case, complete with spark. Not wise to then swap a motherboard over. |

The kitties have managed to get their claws into 1583 of them AP nuggets for the crunchers. Very busy kitties. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

I haven't see these many APs in a long, long time :) I haven't really been paying attention to the name of the data sets. It does look like all of the 2015 data sets are only from Jan & Feb thus far. Depending on how much recording was done & if they received a full box of drives. There could be a few more weeks worth if they only load a few at a time like they have so far. And the first of the 2015 tapes hits an MB splitter. With about 4.5 hours of "Results ready to send", maybe we start to see them in caches around 20:00 UTC? |

And AP's are split for now, who knows how many channels are left from last dispatch from Arecibo |

Be interesting to see what manner of MBs they contain..... The kitties managed to end up with almost 1700 APs on board. Along with the hundreds that they crunched up whilst the splitting was going on. Very nice AP run....does the heart good. (And the RAC...LOL.) Put in 2 more tapes, I'm only 7 MB's away from saying I'm officially full of AP's :) |

Put in 2 more tapes, I'm only 7 MB's away from saying I'm officially full of AP's :) Seems to be, happy hour of AP's continues :) All my AP-only hosts are now full as they can be. (Except one, no cpu AP's done before, so over 150h estimated remaining -> no new CPU tasks). Is there anyway manually edit estimated time or do I have to wait 11 tasks validated? And to EDIT: second one? |

Is there anyway manually edit estimated time or do I have to wait 11 tasks validated? Yes that is frustrating. |

And a 3rd new dataset has joined the fray and is splitting off APs..... Let the party continue!! Meowza! "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

And a 3rd new dataset has joined the fray and is splitting off APs..... Must be slipping in some more work in honor of Canada Day, or maybe because of the holiday weekend. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

And a 3rd new dataset has joined the fray and is splitting off APs..... Could be.... BTW, I noticed the replica DB is offline. Hope that doesn't foreshadow any coming difficulties. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |
