It will come up in time David. Actually, David posted at 12:57:53 UTC, which is 07:57:53 his time. He was about 20 minutes early. So if the cook started cooking as soon as he knew David was there, David should have had his breakfast a few minutes before 0815 his time. Speaking of breakfast, coffee and donuts didn't do it for me today. May I have one of my meat-lover's omelets, with hash-brown potatoes and a few melon slices, please? Thanks much. It will come up in time David. In time can have two subtly different meanings, one of which works just fine in this situation. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Not forgetting that the Cafe works on its own form of time - you can pop in here for a minute, spend an hour here and return to where you popped in from exactly 60seconds after leaving. Or you can drop in for an hour, spend seconds here because the person you wanted to see isn't here, and return to your point of origin an hour later Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Oh by the way enjoy your breakfast eggs ...... With all the bird flu and other diseases here, our laying flocks are being decimated, and the price of eggs is soaring. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Oh by the way enjoy your breakfast eggs ...... I don't understand why they don't just 'recycle' the birds into soup and canned chicken products in the first place. Seems a lot more efficient than trying to adopt them out. I am pro animal, but let's face it, Chickens already having been used for 18 months for egg production are not going to make good pets or lay good eggs. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Nothing for me today Mike. I just stopped When a relative, especially a child, is ill, waiting patiently for the doctors and the medicine to work is the hardest part. You want to DO something to help them get better. But sometimes, all you can do is be there, be available to talk, or hold a hand. And you wait. And hope. And pray. And every so often, drag someone, who has been there for too long, off for a cup of coffee and a bit of food. Because you can't stand watch on an empty stomach. Has the guardian of the Ice Cream maker left? Probably. He was giving it a good cleaning when I popped in the other day. Should be some fresh-churned ice cream in the freezer...... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

...Ahh, none left in the freezer :-( So, let's have a look. Milk and cream go in there, eggs go there (I guess you can't just chuck the whole egg in with its shell). Heater!???! Cooling plate - I guess that needs to be on! Instructions, wow they are big enough to read without glasses.... . . What have we got in here? Some churns of fresh milk and cream Vanilla pods Eggs . . . More instructions OK that's loaded, and it says it runs itself once I press that button there and that on there. Book says it takes three hours for a full batch, or two hours for a half batch, just as well I went for half batch, so fresh ice cream in about two hours :-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Limited quantity of ice cream is left - I'm sure Mike and Chris will vouch that it is VERY creamy and very cold :-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
