WHOA!!! That is so COOL! Some where in the back of my mind I knew the data transfer to/from SETI@home was a lot and continuous (except when the system was down for checking, updates or repairs). This display is a good show of that data moving around the world. (But I am almost sure it shows just part of what really moves from SETI to the World and back.) This was a very Interesting 10 minutes ... and I have bookmarked the site to watch it again soon. I hope, in my life time, Life from another planet is found. We may never be able to communicate with them, because of the distance they are from us, but I will be happy just knowing they are out there. |

Very cool! It's neat to think some of those are coming from my computer! |

Neat images, wonder if it could be used as a S@H screensaver? Why bother with screensavers anymore? Simply open up the page in your web browser and press F11 to go full-screen. Leave it up on your monitor for an awesome display! :-D |

Does not work in IE 11 win 7.0. Also have the SETI logo problem in both IE/Chrome, but if you maximize or goes full screen it looks as it should :) |

very nice! But why not more users?! The World is sooooo big and only a couple of flying points around the world? |

There are 8 billion people on this planet. SETI@home has approximately 100,000+ users last I recall, and most of those aren't hardcore users crunching away 24/7/365 (meaning you won't see their blips very often). Fact is, there just isn't a lot of people crunching in a relative sense. |

very nice! But why not more users?! The World is sooooo big and only a couple of flying points around the world? If you notice it uses ip2location Going to that page it reports my ip address as "London" with a north London postcode and I am definitely south London. That is just where my ISP registers its ip addresses. By the look of the map it is only using data from the larger cities. |

That's cool... Makes me think of the old Missile Command arcade game... That map, graphics, and point of view would make for an interesting modern remake of that game.... |

Neat images, wonder if it could be used as a S@H screensaver? Then open up task manager and see how much cpu usage its using. Kevin |

Just under 100% of one core. So its not exactly a "light weight" application Very interesting to see where data is flowing Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
