I don't know about now, but years ago
esophageal cancer was very common with
what I would call excessive over consumption
of mostly hard liquors...
Is one of the dugs you take called Lansoprazole?
When I was on chemo I took this drug to settle
my stomach down...

A more common side effect to alcohol is gout.

I'm actually on dexlansoprazole, (Dexilant), 60 mg at night; and, ranitidine 300 mg, twice daily.

Hi all. Grant I'm about 70 miles as the crow flies or 100 as the car drives from Leadville. The Doc agreed I probably have had a reflux reaction and pinched nerve. He wants me on Nexium or Prilosec for 30 days to see if that helps.

No beer for 30 days so I'll be 'cheering' from the sidelines for a while, so everybody have one for me. Also no more 'Politics' thread to get me 'worked up'( I'm sure that will please a lot of people).
CHEERS!

(Rockies won again! Now 4-0! Look out Red Sox.)

Composer, producer and master of the slide guitar, Ry Cooder has been a major proponent of roots music the world over throughout his long career. He’s utilized elements of blues, country, gospel, folk, Tex-Mex, Celtic and Hawaiian music on his engrossing solo albums — as well as his session work for artists as diverse as Captain Beefheart, the Rolling Stones, Randy Newman, Little Feat and Pops Staples — and his Buena Vista Social Club project made Cuban music an international craze in the mid-’90s. That’s to say nothing of his evocative movie soundtracks for Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas and for director Walter Hill on films such as The Long Riders, Streets of Fire and Southern Comfort. Music journalist and author Barry Mazor will be interviewing Cooder about his incredible career and deep love of American music.

Since the 'Beer Drinkers Thread' has wandered into the land of music, I submit this combination of both by one of my personal favorites Todd Snyder.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyCPhIjmk-s

Enjoy both.

CHEERS!

[Edit] Jan, The presenter in the Ry Cooder song is actor Harry Dean Stanton.

Nice billboard, Sirius. :~)

dg, I hope you're feeling better. Harry Dean Stanton has Kentucky ties, like Ned Beatty, Tom Cruise, and even Dr. Smith, from Lost in Space. ;~)

The moon had a cool aura around it this morning. I'm not sure what causes it or what the phenomenon is called, but I took a picture. ~Hard to do, and doesn't really give it justice, but here it is:

p.s. It wasn't a full moon last night, but the slow shutter speed made it look that way in the picture.

From a TV show where each program begins with beer tasting.
Here is a test of the brand "Dagens första bira" meaning the today's first beer.

But what happens if you want another one?
