I've been wondering how big to make my cache in anticipation of AP work very soon. Leave it where it is set now. When AP comes back, there will be so many requests for AP work that you will be lucky to get more than a few at a time in the first couple days. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Carolyn is disabled, Strange, very strange. Ooooops ..... Also all the Database/file status info. has disappeared from the SSP. "The database server is not accessible." "It is often darkest just before it turns completely black." |

Carolyn is disabled, Strange, very strange. It would be really cool to see AP back in business again. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Looks like we have an out[r]age to come, but not for a while unless by choice. http://ucbsystems.org/category/active/scheduled-maintenance/ Scheduled Outage Data Center Network Migration |

I see things have fallen in a heap while I was at work. The splitters are showing green, but they're not actually doing much splitting. More graphs (after a brief hiccup) have flat lined, and one of the download servers is disabled. Grant Darwin NT |

Definitely seeing a lot of failed and retries on downloads I've had a few succeed this morning, but when I checked just now I was getting 'connection refused' from both IP addresses. Edit - Well, that worked. Everything cleared as soon as I'd reported the problem. |

Edit - Well, that worked. Everything cleared as soon as I'd reported the problem. I've lost count of the number of times that's fixed problems for me. Grant Darwin NT |

Edit - Well, that worked. Everything cleared as soon as I'd reported the problem. I guess it's kind of a variation of "changing the outcome by checking it" in a way. It's so weird how that seems to fix most problems: be the first one to mention it and by the time anyone else tries to verify the claim, it fixed itself, making everyone else look at the first person like they were just imagining things. That's proof enough that the universe has a sense of humor. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Haven't been able to connect yet after the project came back up today. From the router status page, it looks like they are bringing either the AP database back from the hill or loading more tapes. Must be the reason nobody can connect, the router and servers are red-lined. Cheers, Keith P.S. [Edit] This post took over a minute to upload, post and update.
