I guess it's kind of a variation of "changing the outcome by checking it" in a way. It's so weird how that seems to fix most problems: be the first one to mention it and by the time anyone else tries to verify the claim, it fixed itself, making everyone else look at the first person like they were just imagining things. From the router status page, it looks like they are bringing either the AP database back from the hill or loading more tapes.
