Best not to include the word "solution" considering how that was used for WWII! Nothing nuclear mentioned there. Even over on your part of the planet, you should know of what Hitler's "solution" was in this context. Really didn't respond to your lengthy posts. ... misdirect attention of what was REALLY said. So just lazy casual meaningless twitter-esq old-fart trolling from you then. Engage brain? Brush aside the old cobwebs? Can you bring your lengthy experience to bear fruit to solve the political and cultural problem of Hamas lobbing thousands of missiles into Israel to then suffer the expected response? All a ridiculous game of Arab martyrdom?... Can you redirect that to a more positive solution? If I'm interested I will find the truth. Its more that Fox News has been shown to lie and deliberately mislead than any other news broadcaster. They genuinely are nothing but a propaganda machine. Honestly, if you have never heard of the extreme right wing bias of FOX news you've been living under a rock or something. |

Apparently the answer is no. I have seen it stated several times in this thread that the issue won't be settled until one side or the other is completely eliminated or more precisely exterminated. There are enough radicals on both sides to keep the area in turmoil indefinitely. The people who would willingly live together in harmony aren't given a chance to prove it. Somebody is making too big of a profit off of the violence to give peace a chance. Interesting thought... Hamas rejects ceasefire extension offered by Israel ...are they the ones with the most to lose? |

And the NEWS portion of FOX?When does Fox do hard news? They don't have a national over the air 1/2 evening news. The only time I saw Fox call B.S. on one of their base was when Megyn Kelly called out Karl Rove when she said "is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better, or is this real?" They lose by going back to being irrelevant; they gain by having civilian deaths. Deaths they orchestrate. Independent news from neutral parties are discovering rockets launched from near UN "schools". ![]() |

Why the West will never be able to "tame" the Muslim world & the sole reason why Israel is a "scab on the map of the Middle East (as seen by that Muslim world)"... A pernicious threat |

He was the unlucky one as German and Afghan generals were also wounded Is that trying to tie in the predilection for a certain religion to promote "martyrdom" to convince their ignorant stooges to commit suicide to then supposedly enjoy some sort of promise of raping "Vestal Virgins"?... [edit] Ooops: Wrong ones! The Vestals were a Roman idea and cult!! Note: Are Vestigial Virgins of Ancient Rome proof of evolving religions? ... sort of like celibate celestial coelocanths?... In very sharp contrast, note the martyrdom to some sort of paradise idea: 72 Virgins of Terrorism Suicide is clearly forbidden in Islam, but the permissibility of martyrdom operations (Istishhad) is an altogether different topic, with scholars being split on the issue... Houri ... Islam also has a strong mystical tradition which places these heavenly delights in the context of the ecstatic awareness of God... Virgins? What virgins? It is widely believed that Muslim 'martyrs' enjoy rich sensual rewards on reaching paradise. A new study suggests they may be disappointed... Crazy!... And stupid. So, one hell of a way to create and get rid of rapists. Shame about the surrounding death and destruction... [/edit] Amazing how the stooges can be so convinced to remove their brains: So, they are not going to enjoy anything being as they themselves are or will be dead. And in any case, if noone knows what they are doing, what good is that? Adding into that 70 or 72 or whatever the number is, only just adds to the confusion and multiplies up the misery of the expected embarrassment! We really do need to improve unbiased inclusive education for all. The extremist idiots would die their own death within just one or two years due to lack of supporters... And then mutual respect and cooperation and peace? All in our only one world, Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Maybe we should go in and remove all the children on both sides to a safe place and let the adults fight it out to the end. If the children all grew up together they might realise they are all the same. Then they could go back after their parents have all wiped out each other and start over. What You Wouldn't Know About About Israel and Gaza If You Read the New York Times I wonder what could have made him become a member? Could he have lost his blinkers do you think? :) I know I did... It was hard – going back and re-examining everything I had been conditioned to believe... particularly when the bigger picture was and is such a very disturbing one :( Oh dear – there I go again :) leaping in without saying hello :/ Hello everyone! Did you miss me? I missed me too :) But I especially missed all of you :) Broadband problems are SUCH a pain are they not?! I wonder how long before it all goes pear-shaped on me again.... :( But it IS a puzzle! Patrick becoming a member I mean. He couldn't have been born that way. The earliest he could have joined them was 2006 - when the organisation appeared in response to Israeli offensives against Gaza and Lebanon. Perhaps A look back at some of the questions being asked then might help us understand why... It IS a bit long - but it's a fascinating read nevertheless – and whilst I could quote from it, I could never do it justice as it does give space to all sides of the argument by the end of it – so hang in there if you can :) Of course it wasn't until 2010 that Adalah-NY acquired it's current name and membership following Israel's Operation Cast Lead. Now that endeavour did open several cans of worms which most of us were probably blissfully unaware of. I hadn't realised just how many... until my curiosity got the better of me after having watched a number of news broadcasts featuring an Israeli military spokesman. I must say I was intrigued by the man. The manner of his delivery seemed disturbingly familiar even without his whisper of a South African accent. (Hev referred to something akin to it in a post about an article by Chris Hedges I believe: Doublethink uses “logic against logic†and “repudiate[s] morality while laying claim to it.†But I will come back to that discussion in a different post I think :)) Um... where was I? Oh yes... :) After a bit of digging I discovered that a rather large number of former white South African Jews are now highly valued members of Israel's armed forces (and/or so are their offspring). It seems, once the writing was on the wall (with regards the white regime beginning to lose it's grip on power) they weren't too keen staying on in South Africa. So, from around 1990 onwards, a partial Jewish exodus from South Africa began... and several thousand found their way to Israel. Now most of us are probably aware that Operation Cast Lead led to accusations of war crimes being levelled against Israel and there was talk of taking them to the International Criminal Court. How many of us knew however, that suddenly - rather a lot of ex-South African Israeli citizens found themselves in a bit of a pickle. Their blogs made for some interesting reading. Here's a taste from a 2010 post... The ICC was brought into existence by the Rome Treaty signed in 2002. Israel was not a signatory to this treaty, which means that the ICC does not have any jurisdiction in Israel or over Israelis. This is currently the only issue saving Israelis from possible prosecution. South Africa is, however, a signatory to the Rome Treaty. Given this article from Tuesday... Both sides prepare for new Gaza war crimes probe... by insisting that dual nationals (of nations party to the 2002 treaty) have renounced their former citizenship before joining the IDF, has Israel covered it's back sufficiently to avoid members of its armed forces being extradited and/or charged do you think, if a case comes to court...? Certainly, when it comes to single-minded extermination of people purely for being who they are racially rather than what they may or may not have done... and then justifying it to a populace softened by years of doublethink, you don't have to look any further than a white, far right wing, former South African – Jewish or not. Add a little religious zeal and a weapon or ten, or a platoon to command and... well... you really are looking at a rabid dog with a mission :/ It's probably fanciful to suggest that a few thousand rotten apples may have caused Israel over the years, to lose its grip on what is and is not acceptable - but that some of these people have risen to positions of command within the IDF does not bode well for Palestine... and just adds to an ever increasing shabby showing by Israel. Sort of makes me wonder why Patrick Connors' piece in the Times got so trampled underfoot (when Es so kindly posted it for us) just because he's come to recognise the signs so many others are choosing to ignore... Anyway... just one of the things I have been musing over :) I'm afraid, having been away from the boards for so long there are a lot of VERY interesting posts for me to catch up on... You have all been busy! :) It has already, as you can see :) involved some backtracking. I do hope no one minds too much... as there WILL be more... :) Oh... Did I tell you how much I missed you all? I HAVE really missed you all :) |

There is Rupert Murdoch's Opinion and there is Fox News. The issue is telling them apart. On the broadcast, which should be skipped, if the show has a named host, it is opinion. However on the website, it is easier to tell them apart. If there is a tag "politics" on the article it is opinion. If there is a byline AP then it is news. As an individual you really need to be able to tell these apart. Because until you do you can't tell the difference with you watch MSNBC or CNN either. It rankles me but the almighty chase for profits has required reporters to become opinion fiction writers to get more cash. It has completely destroyed news reporting to the detriment of the country. We really should forbid publicly traded companies, where a fiduciary duty is owed to shareholders from owning or operating a news organization. That way they can place journalistic ethics ahead of the fiduciary duty. But enough off topic ... Both side are criminal, if someone had some smarts they would make them co-defendants, handcuff them together and make them cell mates. ![]() |

Why the West will never be able to "tame" the Muslim world & the sole reason why Israel is a "scab on the map of the Middle East (as seen by that Muslim world)"...What does the combat death of General Harold Greene have to do with Israel? He was the unlucky one as German and Afghan generals were also wounded. Killed in combat? Really? You read the article in full I take it? Australia's turn "In December, he slipped out of the country using his brother's passport, and has issued a call-to-arms for his fellow Muslims in Australia. He has taunted the police, and recently sent a provocative note to Australia's Fairfax media from Iraq. "We will dedicate our lives to your unrest," he wrote. "We are not mad men or dysfunctional as they portray us to be. By Allah, we are the sane. Anyone who sees what is happening to the Muslims around the world... and sits back and does nothing, he is insane."" |

But it does not help when politicians jump on the bandwagon... Galloway under investigation ...Ay up Jock, any chance then of a Russian Free London? Time to tighten up our laws... Briton brags of fighting in Iraq & Syria ...If they come back alive, charge them with murder, if they don't, they won't be missed! |

trending now.. Hamas official at rally says Gaza war not over until demands met GAZA CITY, Gaza City – A senior Hamas official told supporters at a Gaza City rally on Thursday that the war with Israel won't be over until the group's demands for a lifting of the Gaza blockade are met, insisting that its fighters would never give up their arms. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/07/hamas-official-at-rally-says-gaza-war-not-over-until-demands-met/ |

trending now.. Or the other side of the coin, Israel will never lift the blocade one iota causing massive starvation ... Both sides need to be strapped into chairs by the Egyptians and hit over the head with a 2 x 4 until there is some sense knocked into them and a proposal for say every ton of arms surrendered 10 tons of humanitarian aid will be let in. Then once there are no more arms, Egypt verifies this, then the border is opened. If they can't or won't agree to some kind of agreement like this, then it is obvious that they want the killing to go on until one side or the other finally signs a surrender agreement and becomes slaves of the other. I think both sides score much better propaganda and foreign aid if the killing goes on .... ![]() |
