As Julie says its normal. The only way I can describe it is, It felt like half of my soul was ripped out. There is a ritual where when two people get married they have two candles burning and then they both light one candle which symbolizes that two become one. After my wife died I felt like I was just a half of a person.

And John if you feel that this is out of place please feel free to redX my post.
