I have found that religion and politics can cause trouble For me, I avoid talking politics with someone I know holds nearly opposite beliefs as I do. There is little chance for agreement, and almost certainty of generating ill-will. I'm going through that now with a high-school classmate on Facebook. Anytime he disagrees with something I post, it is with anger, vitriol, and usually name-calling. I'm currently ignoring his comments, but if it keeps up, I'll have to un-Friend him. I have found that religion and politics can cause trouble I also hardly ever talk politics with friends, it always turns out into a discussion. Don't have that problem with religion though. rOZZ Music Pictures |

I have found that religion and politics can cause trouble A civil discussion can be enlightening, and bring both sides closer to agreement. But an uncivil discussion.... see the current US presidential campaigns. I'm about ready to wish "The fleas of 1000 camels infest the underwear of all parties". I have found that religion and politics can cause trouble I have my thoughts, but expressing them here would be a partisan political statement, and we are not supposed to do that in this area of the Forums. But whatever happens, the next few years may be very interesting to live through. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Wow, what a meandering from the thread title ..... ;-)) Yes, I suppose we should nudge it back in Sir John's direction.... Later today, I'll stop by my favorite beer shop and see if they carry Landlord.. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

It all sounds good at your house John, take your time. It is more fun talking to you, than about you. |

Good to hear Chris, I find it's easier to work on the cooler than on the PC, I had to work on My PC in place, which cut the time required for the psu transplant(850w to 1350w) by a good amount as there was no lifting of the PC and/or unplugging of a lot of external cables... For those that have been following our friend Johns' progress, this is to let you know that yesterday I went up to his house for the day, and relocated two heavy computers from the hallway to the upstairs computer room, and connected them up for him. No way could John have shifted either of them with his current disability, but knowing him he would have had a go! He can now get them back up on line, one at a time at his leisure. That's very good news Chris:) rOZZ Music Pictures |

Glad to hear you had a good day with Sir John & Sheila, Chris. My favorite beer store does not carry Landlord. Lots of Smithwick's, Newcastle Brown, Theakston's, Bass, Harp, Guiness, Fuller's, and something called Dirty Dick's Audit Ale from the Nethergate Brewery, but no Landlord. Maybe I'll ask for a special order. Did pick up 3 bottles of Chimay - Red label, Blue Label Ale, and Gold label. Will be interesting to see how they differ.
