Do you mean that the resending of ghost units is maxing out the band width? |

Do you mean that the resending of ghost units is maxing out the band width? It could very well be seeing as 98% of Linux hosts out there are trashing AP's so they have to be resent to someone else and as we all know those AP's create a severe bottleneck in the connection. Cheers. |

no way should the outbound be maxed! the uber mousetrap is broken! Given the option between maxed out or flat. I'll take maxed out. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Got an Astropulse overnight! As did I! Last night anyway. Finished it in the morning, waited all day, and got another one this evening. It's kind of almost like classic all over again. Get one, crunch it, turn it in, get another one... Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

I am rather dismayed.....I thought by the time I got home from work tonight this would have been sorted and work flowing back to my crunchers. Hopefully by tomorrow morning....... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

It seems to me that every week after the outage everything goes "tits up" and by the time they figure it out and apply a fix its outage time again. Don't suppose we'll get an update until Matt returns. |

bla, bla bla no cuda units LOL. I got an astropulse wu for some strange reason and am happy to do it even though this Sempron is kinda slow at it and the old ATI x1550 I have in the this box does not do cuda, strange thing is that my preference settings are SETI@home Enhanced: yes Astropulse v5: no Astropulse v505: if no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? no I still got an astropulse unit Looks like they are gonna make up do the work units they want us to do, Did we just go from volunteers to slaves ROFL LOL I really don't care which units I crunch, I am here to do the science. Gimme BEER and WU's!!!! |

The bad news is my 9500GT threw a wobbly overnight and trashed a whole load of GPU units. The good news is with so little work being generated at the moment, there are loads of starving crunchers out there that will welcome the resulting _2 WUs and crunch them far sooner than my obsolete 9500GT would anyway, so wingmen will probably get credit soomer rather than later:)) Every cloud has a silver lining. |

Looks like the traffic in is decreasing, must be clients running out of work to report. But traffic out is still maxed. Someone at the lab must have a really great ratio at his torrent tracker. :) LOL of the month! |

Well, I've written to Jeff (and the rest of the gang) to pass on our observations on the splitter problems of the last few days. Let's hope it works as well as last time. |

I,ve been getting only - couldn't connect to server since 12:20 UTC and Cricket upload has died. :(( Finally got through to scheduler, but still no work of course. Uploads look dead. My theory: Wildcat strikes because the servers saw the posts about replacing some of them. Need to reassure them about alternative use! :=) Another Fred Support SETI@home when you search the Web with GoodSearch or shop online with GoodShop. |

I snagged 3 AP but have nothing but VLAR's on the CPU. No a thing on GPU.
Old James |

I see in the logs of my machine I was unable to report or request work for about 80 minutes. <sarcasm>That is only 94.4% up time in the past 24 hours. Which kind of Micky mouse operation is this!</sarcasm> Do we know if there are still issues ongoing with the line upstream from PAIX, or find out what the issue was? Front page NEWS We hit a storage limitation in our science database. Everything is okay but we will remain down, at least overnight, to run various tests. |
