Yeah, I've got tons to upload too, but because I have a huge cache, I'm, up the creek with a boatload of paddles :-)

Im in a canoe, my CPU which sits up front lost his paddle, My GPU has quite a few 4 minute paddles left, then its drift over the cliff time:)

The graphs show life, but not much is happening here. A couple of Work Units have gone through, but most just time out. Only a few hundred to go.
Whatever the prolbems the upload server were having before it went down appear to still be there.

At least the server status page is up to date, finally.

The replica is almost 9 minutes behind the master, uploads server is probably pegged to the max. Yeah, it's a typical Monday at the SETI labs. :|

Yeah right...

Uploads going...uploads 100%, then times out, gets deferred and then starts over.

Its a bit frustrating, to say the least. Some upload first-time, but others try several times before going through - I've no idea on downloads as I'm set to NNT for the time being. I'm trying to clear out the completed WUs, so I can install the latest BOINC version on both machines and run the Lunatics 0.38 installer - this could take some time though! lol

It's up and down, and then some. Great download speed but no upload, and vice versa.

One of my hosts just downloaded a bunch of APs @ around 250 KBps (!!!!!)

What made this host get this type of download speed? I can't remember such speed ever!

Wow, I guess you have a directly connection (dedicated line) to the S@h server.. ;-D

All the rest of us were still stuck in uploadland. You had the download servers all to yourself!!~ :-)

I got uploads down to 2*core and got some downloads - 42 of them finished the transfer and I got another batch to d/l before two more uploads could finish! Downloads's indeed are moving, even on my slow DSL connection. However, both batches were 100 % Cuda shorties.
slowed down.

EDIT- I jinxed it - d/l's have been off and on since I wrote that. My third batch did include the CPU tasks I needed and some longer CUDA tasks. Hope all goes well for you.

SETI could really use a network-traffic shaping device (for QoS). I wonder if they already have such a thing?

I've heard vague details of such a thing already existing. They do just let the pipe get maxed out which is a crude method of shaping, but I noticed that there definitely is some kind of shaping in place. During times when the pipe isn't maxed out, back when I was doing MBs, I could download those at 300-500k/sec, but when APs come along, they're throttled to 25-100k/sec, even when the pipe is only at ~50% utilization.

I guess it is a stupid question, but did you already try to upload them by hand?
For you will not get downloads until almost all uploads are send in.

Don't know what it is, but there is something seriously screwy with the upload server. Traffic isn't that high, yet upload after upload just times out. Eventually one or two upload, then they just all start timing out again.

Taken close to 4 hours for all my units to finally upload.
Interestingly, unlike downloads, the higher the upload network traffic the more likely the upload was to go through. And often at a much faster speed than they have been.

Must be nice, I've got ~30 on a win7 laptop that have been trying to
upload for days...nearly a week...I've tried everything short of resetting
the project. Don't want to loose all that work! I have it set to not download
any more units as I want to upgrade to the latest version.

I suppose I could try turning on the dl's again and see if that helps, but
it'll set me back too...
