Cricket is down! All I get is big red text saying "Failed to draw graph. Check your server's error log for details." Never saw that before.

No problem here. Get the normal picture with "Last updated at Tue Jun 14 07:28:15 2011"

Cricket comes up fine for me at 1505 UTC. Green downloads running full on 4, a squiggle in the blue uploads line about two hours ago, but normal now.

Maybe Cricket is a Boston fan. (8{)

Please don't do that when I'm drinking something...
Well at least now the screen is dustfree and clean again...

For the record - next time just ask for the question to be moved to the next thread, if it presents a problem.

Can anyone report tasks? I can't, but also cannot figure out which disabled server is blocking the reporting.

Unable to upload, different error messages on different hosts.

SETI project seems to have another glitch.....
It's not too many computers, it's a lack of circuit breakers for this room. But we can fix it :)

You'd think that people around here would be use to the difficultly reaching the servers after an outage. :-o

It will settle down once about 250K computers stop hitting them up. ;)

Cheers.

Ah thanks for the explanation. Just sort of curious as to why they weren't going through. I'm not sure if the reporting ability is tied to a specific server (i.e. upload server or scheduling server).

Actually, it's tied to Hurricane Electric's wimpy 100MB line we are all trying to fit through.

Actually, it's a gigabit line, but the equipment both at the top and bottom of the hill and the hybrid fiber/copper cable that runs up the hill is only 100mbit.

The end result is still the same.. 100mbit, but it's not a wimpy HE link.

It need some time - less or more - after the weekly server maintenance that BOINC can reach the (UL/DL/scheduler) server well.

My machine could UL during the whole server maintenance fine (normally the UL/DL server are on).
Report now also fine.

The machine request also work, but get no WUs because currently no WUs available.

We've run out of tapes to split...

There was one new one this morning, but we rushed through it in no time at all.

From last night's Technical News:

And speaking of high production loads I also just noticed we're low on work to split. Prepare for tonight to be a little rocky as files are slow to transfer up from the archives and get radar blanked before being splittable.

There'll be more on the way - it's an automated, if slow, process, so we shouldn't need to wait until the staff arrive in the lab.

Looks like they've found and cured the bottleneck. Just had a herd of work download fast.
