I agree completely. Carlin did wonders with that word lol, and it's very pointed now. Funny how retrospect is everything. Just about all his bits hit harder now than they ever did. Did you watch the deep field 3d video posted in the milestone forum. Fills my brain for the evening and makes me feel even more assured in what I assist with in this project. Man it's a big place, 'something has got to be out there' isn't as much as a statement, as it is a mere starting point. Something is out there, Thanks for helping it along. Now to finish my toast to your milestone! (actually read 3 more!) Traveling through space at ~67,000mph! |

Fantastic Mark, well done. I saw this number coming tbh, being one with an eye for milestones in anything that's remotely milestonable (!$), but have not been bothering with the fora for a few days as everything seemed to be rather uneventful in SETIland this end. |

Why does it say "Banished: ID 421968" in the area of the messageboard where it usually displays the name of the person who started the thread? And where did the first message go? Did the guy get into trouble or something? I've never seen that Banished thing before. If he/she is still around, congrats on 100 million, that's pretty epic. I hope there was no foul play going on there though, since that's one of the only reasons I think someone can get banished. :( -baron_iv Proud member of: GPU Users Group |

Well, it's a little bit tricky to answer, because it's not allowed to discuse Moderator actions. But, yes, if someone gets banned he is in trouble. :D If nothing changed in the next few hours you can wish the user a nice 14 day vacation. ;-) Helli A loooong time ago: First Credits after SETI@home Restart |

Wowza, 14-day vacations sound great, but not when I'd be forced to not run seti! About halfway through the last outage I started getting antsy, I can't imagine what I'd do if I had to wait two whole weeks! 100 million is still an incredible feat. I remember when 200 credits per day was like super duper amazing. Oh well, I hope it's nothing too serious and he can get back to crunching soon. :) Also, I'm sorry about bringing up a moderator's actions, I wasn't aware that we weren't supposed to talk about them. Guess it's time for me to go read the rules again so I don't find myself banished too. -baron_iv Proud member of: GPU Users Group |

Baron, I think he can still run SETI on his comps, he just can't post to the forum if I understand correctly. So, his #'s will still be growing like mad. :) |

Yes, you did it again. You got yourself banished for the umpteenth time. Maybe you should get a banishment count in addition to the credit count under your avatar. Anyway, congratulations! ;D |

Congratulations and Salutations on your truly OUTSTANDING accomplishment Mark! >Anybody notice I have been a little lest nasty on the boards for the last few weeks? Or was that just my imagination?< It never even crossed my mind to start a "Is He on a Chill Pill?" thread but we are obviously past that. All the best to you and thank you and all of us who contributed to the new servers. Keep On Crunching! -Tom |
