It seems the Zodiac most knew about is wrong, There are 13 Constellations, Not 12. mlive.com wrote: If your astrological forecast is inaccurate today, there's an explanation – other than the usual explanation of “it's all made up, anyway,†I mean. Ophiuchus has always been the forgotten Zodiac sign... It seems It was, It would have been better to divide the year into 13 months as then 12 months would be 28 days, 1 month would be 29 and on Leap Years there'd be an extra day, Probably added to the 1st month or something. 28(days)*12(Months)=336+29=365+1(extra day during leap years only)=366 days... Ophiuchus has always been the forgotten Zodiac sign... that certainly would make getting your pay checks to match up to the due date for rent a little easier In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

This might explain why every horoscope I have read about myself in the last 58 years has been wrong. |

VW Bobier:- Thankyou for an interesting piece of information. I have never had a particular fixation upon this aspect of astronomical inventiveness. "What?! Never?!"..."Well, Hardly Ever!" (HMS Pinafore aplomb). Whatever...I am now struck by some type of starry subliminal identity crisis knowing that I am in actual 'fact' a Pisces. I always had the feeling that their was something very fishy going on in the world and this may well explain my swimmingly acute Delphinoidea perception. As to Ophiuchus...you have really raised a conundrum. The 13th zodiacal sign; The symbolic Rod of Asclepius; Hippocrates worshipped Asclepius. Therefore, the medical profession is a cloak for the secret society of idol wordshipping astrologers! I must report this to Hillary. (Critical Thinking 100.999999Ë™) |

It seems the Zodiac most knew about is wrong, There are 13 Constellations, Not 12. Not to mentions the stars were in different positions when astronomy was invented anyway. Reality Internet Personality |

I have Starry Night Pro plus Astronomy software, and it gives me the ability to zoom around the universe, and see things from differernt angles and times. Once you vary just a tiny bit in direction, the Zodiac symbols don't look anything like what you see from here. It's actually really cool, seeing the distances between the stars, and what the whole universe looks like from different angles. What could be considered to be constellations from one angle, change, reform into nothing, and what was nothing seems to take on shapes. I did a virtual tour of the universe, and it's definitly interesting what you see. Eagle Raccoon Lovers |
