Since I am the oldest guy here I opened a spumante brut bottle to celebrate the start of my seventh BOINC project, SETI@home running on Solaris Express (thanks to Dotsch) which is a guest OS on my Linux box via VirtualBox. I am curious to see if it is faster on Solaris Express (SunOS 5.11) than in Solaris 10. Merry Christmas to all.

Figure it out if you can. When I turned 18 I did not have to register with Selective Service.

Neither did I Gary, my CO told me not to worry about it. He said my Marine Corps ID was close enough.

Only men born between March 29, 1957, and December 31, 1959, were completely exempt from Selective Service registration

So that should put you in your early 50's.

I will be the Ultimate Age (to go with the Ultimate Answer) of 42 next birthday. I was born just before Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon for the first time.

Did it influence me crunching Seti? You bet it did! Even though I was too young to remember it, I seem to have a strange fascination with such a momentous event just after I was born.

Giz.

Okay then, when in Rome...
Although my age is classified information, I will say this:
I arrived the same year Harley Earl unveiled the Chevy Corvette at the GM Motorama.
I debuted in January, whereas the ' Vette made it's first appearance later that year.

That makes me about six months older than klc53.

Is there a clue in your name?

Yes, but actually it really could have referred to almost anything.
My age, how many warts on my face, how many hairs on my head, how many cars I have totaled or perhaps my I.Q ...etc, etc.
