Winning as the Christmas tree is decorated!

Aren't you a bit late with that?

I just did mine Sunday.

Lucky You, Me I have about a 1' tall tree, No I'm not getting It out this Year, If I'm able to I'll replace It with a 6-7' tree that's pre-lit with LED lights.

Of course right now Bones is on followed by more Bones.

Ours went up the day after Thanksgiving.

So did I! Also, as I clicked to post here, I got a warning from my AVG software, here's what it said:

If It did that when Ya clicked to post then It sounds like a false positive, I've reported similar behavior in the past with Avast. So far I haven't had a repeat episode.

It happened when I clicked on "Quote", but hasn't happened since. Oh well. LOL Anyhow, back to winning!

I don't care how you spell it, as long as it still has
'Christ' in it.

In Germany Christmas trees get traditionally brought in and decorated on Christmas eve - after that, children out of the room (So that Father Christmas / the Christmas Child can come) distribute presents, light candles (if you have real ones) children back in.
There is usually discussion whether Christmas Dinner should be before or after 'Bescherung' (giving out gifts) - but only until the first Christmas trying to prise children away from the new toys for dinner.
Depending on tradition/religious background dinner on the 24th can be quite frugal (e.g. pea soup) with the opulent several courses meal on Christmas Day or you have the several courses dinner on Christmas Eve as well.
As for church going 'if you don't get a full church on Christmas you are doing soemthing really really wrong' Reminds me I still need to check the times...

Can I win now?

Santa Claus is a word deriving from Sankt Niklaus, who is honored in Bari and Trieste too. So triestino children wait for gifts on December 6, San Nicolo', not on Christmas. But Italian kids in general wait for gifts also on La Befana day (January 6).La Befana is an old woman or witch flying on a broomstick.

Very strange as I see my name in there. I got an alert from AVG a couple of days ago about me trying to go to some strange site and it was not safe. (I was moving between forums here so I don't know what it was talking about.)

Different cultures have different traditions around the celebration of lights at mid winter. Christmas is the one celebrated by Christians, and even there it has many different twists.

Winning on a rainy night. 54F, been raining almost non-stop since about 0430 PST, weather guessers all say it will continue until Christmas. But I'm warm and dry, well-fed, and enjoying a mug of dark ale as I type.

Stay well, warm, and dry, friends, wherever you are tonight.
