Lucky You, Me I have about a 1' tall tree, No I'm not getting It out this Year, If I'm able to I'll replace It with a 6-7' tree that's pre-lit with LED lights. There is usually discussion whether Christmas Dinner should be before or after 'Bescherung' (giving out gifts) - but only until the first Christmas trying to prise children away from the new toys for dinner. Depending on tradition/religious background dinner on the 24th can be quite frugal (e.g. pea soup) with the opulent several courses meal on Christmas Day or you have the several courses dinner on Christmas Eve as well. As for church going 'if you don't get a full church on Christmas you are doing soemthing really really wrong' Reminds me I still need to check the times... Can I win now?
