And just to tie things all together, here's the world's oldest Deere, John.

Which decade did that thing move in last?

Hard to say, but I'd be willing to bet it was before the tree grew through the transmission.

Ahhh, yes, the fabled John Deere A-10. Perfect for precision targeting of those pesky weeds.

Not to be picky guys, but ...

There was a 1918 Deere Model A sold a few years ago that claimed at the time to be the world's oldest Deere tractor. Deere actually came into the tractor market fairly late, buying Waterloo Boy tractors in 1912. By then Waterloo Boy and IH had been making gasoline tractors for about a decade. There are several museums in and around Moline with Deere horse towed implements dating back to the mid 1800s. The first Deere branded plows were sold in 1837.

Much as I like deer, I have spent enough time in Northern Wisconsin to understand how vital deer hunting can be to a rural community. Deer are plentiful in that area and they are an important part of the community diet. I may love my critters, but I'll confess to eating meat and wearing leather shoes. It's "complicated".

I'm mostly an Omnivore, By mostly I'll eat mostly anything sold at Stater Brothers Market that's sold for Humans to eat, Except liver and citrus(anything high in acid content really), Plus If hunting is for Food and there are plenty of game animals to be had, I have no objection to that either.
