It is true. I am guessing they are busy. So I thought I would pass on the info. I would expect something through official channels today/tomorrow. Janice |

Wondering - would the results out in the field ever go closer to zero at the current progress of not sending out new work units? |

I heard through the grapevine that the shipment didn't include power cords.... they'll be an additional $7500.00 LOL seriously if they arrived and all the connections fit, the brackets were the right size, and the screw holes lined up, it would be a miracle. And that is just before they can power it on. Murphy's Law is in full effect in computer rooms. Janice |

Hey - don't you remember when you were a little kid and Santa came with that toy of all toys? NOTHING would drag you away from it, absolutely NOTHING, even Mum and Dad would struggle to part you from it long enough for you to eat or sleep. Now think what its like in the SETI server closet. Dr. Korpela has sort-of confirmed it. :)))) Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Wondering - would the results out in the field ever go closer to zero at the current progress of not sending out new work units? Yes, even ghosts come off the "out in the field" count when they reach deadline. For now, the creation rate and return rate are quite similar so the overall count isn't shrinking very fast. Tasks for WUs created in late October mostly have deadlines in December, though, so if the current status were maintained that long the shrink rate should accelerate. Joe |

I heard through the grapevine that the shipment didn't include power cords.... they'll be an additional $7500.00 Well see it they didn't ship them with 3 phase 208 connectors and the server room has single phase 240. LOL And Murphy has been known to do that ... |
