I worked for Microsoft back in the hay days - Windows 95 Product Support Specialist Level 5 (Networking) and Mentor. Pretty much knew everything there was to about Win95. Amazingly enough this knowledge still comes in handy sometimes. I just climbed up to over 500k RAC. Todd Sure is - could not have reached this high on just CPU cycles - although I do have plenty of those too. One box alone has 64 threads running. Todd You worked/work for Microsoft, right? Not for Intel? Or they are connected? ;-) Sure, you could reach the same GPU (S@h-)RAC with CPUs (in one host) but with the result of much more wattage (never mind/apart from the cost of acquisition).. The best RAC/wattage ratio you have with GPUs. nVIDIA is powerful! :o) ID: 1027809 ·
