I did most of my fishing for trout in cold Colorado streams. I recently moved out of state and now fish in a warm water lake. This morning while fishing for smallmouth bass (yeah, I caught a few) using a 3 inch lure, I caught a bluegill on it. Now, this 'monster' was a good 4.5 inches long. Are bluegill always this aggressive, or did this guy have delusions of grandeur? Even if the lure had been a real fish, I don't see how it could have eaten it. Maybe all the fish here are aggressive. I also caught a 12 in bullhead on a spinner. Never got one before without using bait. "If stupidity were like a toothache, something would have been done about it long ago" |

I like to fish in the ocean. Mahi Mahi and Shark are my favorites. For shark I start by catching a bunch Mackerel for bait. I cum with then and put one a 3" hook with 500# stainless steal leader. I have brought in some 150 lb sharks. They put up a nice fight. |

bluegills are fiesty.... I remember them always swallowing the hook, making catch and release quite difficult. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

I love fishing. Most of the time I fish for Rainbow trout, but hooking on to a big Dolly Varden can sure make your day. I also love to fish for Char (Lake Trout) which can be over 30 lbs but they are getting more rare these days. So many people think they've caught something special when they land a 5 to 7 lb Char. They don't realize that Char are still juvenials at that weight and haven't even reproduced yet. Any Char under 7 lbs gets released from my boat. If you don't like that rule, fish from shore. Love catching those dolly's, used to be real good fishing in the Quinault River but not so much any more, too many end up in freezers and then the trash. Mostly go after Salmon or Steelhead when I go out. Did some trout fishing out of Bishop California a couple years ago and they were stocking 5 lb trout, awesome weekend. Pretty much catch and release here. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

I love fishing. Rainbow trout, perch, small mouth bass, whatever works. Cooking them is the best part. My family loves fish, and fishing. |

No deep sea fishermen out there? One of my favorite stories was when I caught 7 fish on a 6 hook rig. One came in with the sinker. |

Eric loves catch and release bass fishing. Long ago, during our dating days, I occasionally sat in the damn boat and kept him company. Fisherboys NEVER seem to need a potty break!!! Anyway, I would sporadically amuse myself by trying to catch pan fish like Bluegills and Pumpkin Seeds, and it was my experience as well that those tiny little fish will strike at most anything. Now that Eric and I have been married a long time, I feel absolutely no need to get in ANY boat at ANY time for ANY reason! When he goes out I try to encourage Eric to fish for trout, so we at least get dinner out of the ordeal! |

I'm at that stage in life where fishing involves a shade tree on the bank, a lawn chair under it with the appropriate adult beverage nearby, and a line with a weight and bobber but no hook so that I give the illusion of fishing without having my nap interrupted by a fish. |

My fishing extends only to catching men's souls unaware of what they wish to reveal......... And, in the words extended by Hal Holbrook on behalf of the distant 'Mark Twain'........ "Man is by far the most interesting jackass there is.........." Enjoy, and learn. Mark Twain Tonight..........I only wish I could find more of this online.......... The greatest quote? There are many. Man is the only..............that blushes, or needs to. Listen to his political statements...........made so many years ago......... And how they still ring true. Man is the only.........creature that seems to cry........or needs to. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

El Dorado. My favorite fish. The color is amazing. They are blue like sail fish when alive and turn this green yellow. when they die. |
