They are fuel limited too. This year 1 tank full has to last the full race.

Of course I don't know the exact range of an M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank is, But It does weigh about 60 Tons(short).

M1A1, isn't that a government contract? I bet about 1 mile range if it is. Gotta keep Haliburton in business!

I don't think Haliburton has anything to do with the Abrams Tank, As General Dynamics makes the M1-M1A2 Tank. And It seems I was wrong on the speed, Must have been the speed run by an early prototype, 42-45 on road and about 30 Mph off road, 500 gallon fuel supply, This tank eats Russian Tanks for Breakfast, It loves T-72 and older Tanks as Saddam had plenty of them and the Abrams was takin them out 3 miles away and the Iraqi gunners couldn't see who or where the shots were coming from as their systems could only see about 1 mile away. Also It seems the Tanks have gotten heavier since they were 1st made, Their now around 67 short tons.

At the risk of the mods displeasure for hijacking; Haliburton, would get the contract to supply and transport the fuel used by the tanks. [Any further discussion about tanks belongs elsewhere.]

Did see some dirt track action today on TV. Trucks and buggies on the same track.

Ahh, so this thread really is just about F1 and not car racing in general?

And, "as well as" means "in addition to", not "including". Maybe you should read instead of mocking things you know nothing about. I'm sure glad I didn't bring up Danica Patrick running a partial ARCA and Nationwide series this year in addition to the full IRL schedule.

I will now leave you all to your F1 fantasy and no longer try to educate in other forms of racing.

Hold your horses Labbie. Just trying to bring out a smile or two. We have talked about other races. In fact I never raced F1. The best I ever did was a 3rd in the Baja 1000. That's a long way from Monza. And as for the play on words, I'm a lawyer. I know how to twist words for fun and profit.

Which team will she be racing for?

Are they going to allow her to race in Indy Cars as well as Nascar in the same season?

She’ll be driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the ARCA and Nationwide series before and after her commitments for the IndyCar Series are completed.

Got my tix for the Canada GP this morning, will be at the hairpin (turn 10). Hopefully my camera battery won't die before the race starts this time around.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Only eighteen days into 2010 but already five teams have announced their launchdates with four of them due before the end of the month.

Ferrari is scheduled to be the first team to unveil its 2010 contender, the Maranello outfit launching the 281 on January 28. Thereafter, McLaren launches the MP4-25 on January 29 with Sauber and Renault both taking the covers off their cars on January 31 the day before the first official test of the year.

This week Ferrari held its traditional pre-season media get together in the Dolomites with Fernando Alonso making his first public appearance in the Scuderia colours.

While Fernando, Felipe and the boys were arriving in Madonna di Campiglio however, our very own Chris Sylt was meeting up with Bernie Ecclestone in London, and rest assured there will be some very interesting stories coming out of that little tete a tete over the coming weeks. We can't say much, but rest assured not only will you be interested in hearing what Bernie has to say you'll be intrigued to hear the thoughts of the other person at the get together… and it wasn't Max Mosley.

Talking of Chris Sylt, he has two interesting stories on the site this week, one relates to the amount of money the manufacturers have pumped into the sport in recent years while the other looks at who might be willing to buy F1 from CVC should it decide to sell up.

While it is another couple of weeks before the majority of the teams take to the track in Valencia, this week Michael Schumacher has been in action at Jerez, the German doing some development work on the 2011 GP2 car. The good news is that there have been no further problems with his neck, not that we expected any.

Finally, while April 1 is some time away, we cannot help but feel that Bernie had his tongue very firmly in his cheek when earlier this week he suggested that circuits feature special shortcuts in order to facilitate overtaking. Because if he was being serious…
