While bored and poking around seeing what my wingmen were up to, I noticed this computer: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5151171 The task list reports all the WUs as being "aborted by user". I will assume the guy isn't actually sitting there aborting all these manually. The computer seems to be in a very broken state, it keeps downloading and aborting WU after WU after WU. At a minimum it is wasting a lot of bandwidth. What could cause a system to repeatedly report WU's as being "aborted by user" ? The servers don't seem to be able to throttle down this computer either, it still has a quota of 100/day. |

What could cause a system to repeatedly report WU's as being "aborted by user" ? Open a few up :-) They're -233. ERR_UNSTARTED_LATE -233 BOINC will abort tasks that have not started yet and are over the deadline.

The error code wasn't explained in the task detail. Where do you go to look up what the error codes mean? |

I'm not as good as the others, don't know where all these docs & things are. So I resort to Google. In this case, it led me to a page buried in --> here. |
