I really thought Babylon 5 was under-appreciated during its tenure. This quote reminds me of Seti@home.

"Of course it is, for the simple reason that no one else would've ever built a place like this. Humans share one unique quality. They build communities. If the Narns or the Centauri or any other race built a station like this, it would be used only by their own people, but everywhere humans go, they create communities out of diverse and sometimes hostile populations. It is a great gift and a terrible responsibility, one that cannot be abandoned."

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...

Classic...Blade Runner.

Tribbles seem to like everyone - except Klingons.

And I just remembered this one, from an engineering conference about 10 years ago. I listened to a department head's proposal, thought about it, and turned to him and with a dead straight face said "Make it so Number One." With an equally dead straight face, he turned to his assistant and said "Make it so Number Two".

Oh and James Doohan invented the Klingon language.

One from one of my favorite B5 characters...

Zathras: Zathras is used to being beast of burden to other people's needs. Very sad life... probably have very sad death, but at least there is symmetry.

Gillian "Do you guy's like Italian"
Spock "No"
Kirk "Yes"

McCoy "Where are we going?"
Kirk "Where they went"
McCoy "Suppose they went nowhere"
Kirk "then this will be your big chance to get away from it all"

Spock "What does it mean 'exact change'"
