Are we going to have to detach from both and restart all over?? ========== Why would you want to do that or what good would it do you to do that Liberto...??? The Message says the Project is down, do you think that just because you Detach or Reset that the Project is going to be Magically back up again...??? We all have to wait for it to be back up again in due time, if you run out of work & get bored go chop some wood or something to wile away your Idle Time... ;) |

There is no growing without pain. Why al this hurry? We have to realize that in a very short time thousands of users has jumped to Boinc/S@H2. Just have some patient and please let the people in Berkeley let solves the starting problems. A lot of people have been working for months and months in the Alpha and Beta tester groups to solve many issues, too many to mention here. Al this work have bring us to a program that has the capability to run in a way that has been improved months by months. If you are not confident in Boinc you can jump back to S@H1. Greetings from Belgium. |

I have the feeling it's going to get worse before it gets better. This is going to take weeks if not months to get it right. The real fun will begin when they shut down Seti Classic and all those people come here for a cure to their addiction...I sincerly hope none of them jump off a bridge because they can't get a WU ... :/ |

The real problem is the work-caches. Not only did thousands of users jump to BOINC/s@h but also their work-caches were empty. If each of the users try to download 10 workunits... well. As soon as the first caches start to be filled it is going to get better very quickly. And trust me, the devs are working very hard at the moment! |

We should wait, I'm sure that they know about this problem and as it was written here already, yes it seems like C++ code problem on server side, something like it can not write received file. Either disk is full or some software buf. I think they are hard working on that problem. It has no sense at all to download 100 WU's at the same time ! ! Greetings from Belgium. |

Please keep in mind that this is an International project as well. The problem first appeared evening Berkely time. The team had already mostly gone home, and it was too late to fix it. It is now about 12-13 hours later and 7:30 AM Berkeley time. They will be working on this soon, if they haven't already started. Best place to post these issues is in the Questions/Problems forum. Some answers were already posted there. It is a server side problem. No need to panic or start doing resets. Just hang in there a little while longer. |
