Hi Eagle. My turn to take the podium.

How are things going Andy? Get your doorstep and walk cleaned off?

Yeah, dirty gits :D

I poured boiling water over everything, then put disinfectant down on the walkway when it had cooled.

Hope you don't wake up to a sheet of ice out there tomorrow. :)

Very unlikely. We are in a very mild sector right now. It's 8C at 9:30pm. I think the next time we will see freezing temps is boxing day onwards.

We suffer big variations in our weather here as we are a relatively small island surrounded by lots of warm water!

We suffer big variations in our weather here as we are a relatively small island surrounded by lots of warm water!

We also have that situation because we have what is known as a micro climate here.
In other words we can and usually do have three to five different weather patterns here in the same day. Our motto is 'If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change.'

Congrats uli!

I don't think the boiling water would even make it to the stoop if I poured it out from waist height today.

-9F with -35F wind chills today. Good day to stay and hide indoors...

everyone

Did anyone celebrate the Solstice?

Some friends and I were going to go out and build a fire on Wreck Beach and dance, sans-clothes, around it but since there is a foot of snow on the ground and it is -8°C we decided to hold off on the Wicca rituals.

Instead, we huddled around the ‘modern camp-fire’ (the television) and sipped nog.

Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

While nog sounds like a great idea, dancing naked does as well.

Just waiting for the New Years Polar Bear dip they have here every year. Brr!!! That just isn't for this Mumps either. :-)

And with a temperature like that, my guess is the St Pete's natives had their winter coats on... :-)
