Since 9 is getting bloated, lets continue here.

I managed to snag about 18 tasks last night, but it took 3 hours before the finally finished downloading.

I keep a 3 day cache and have not ran out of work since the great crash.

I have just had these two messages;
15/10/2008 14:04:15|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 16398 seconds of work, reporting 1 completed tasks
15/10/2008 14:05:35|SETI@home|Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error
can anyone explain the later one please?

Matt was kicking the recalcitrant server at the precise moment you requested the work.

The server status page has now updated, as of 15 Oct 2008 13:20:11 UTC

Edit - and since that precise moment was at five past six in the morning, local time, another vote of thanks is due to whichever member of staff administered the medicine at a seriously unsocial hour. I only suggest Matt because he has the reputation of having the best boots in the business.

Getting new work now. Takes a couple of retries, but they all make it thru.

Backend problems? One of my hosts has many (possibly +100) WUs like this, where both results have been returned, but seem to have gotten lost in the back end ?

If this issue has already been addressed, please excuse my oversight.

This one shows "Validate state : Initial" so maybe the outcome of the two differs too much and you get a third result to descide which one is right.

But that should be a "Checked but no concensus yet"?

@all:

That is now the big chance for those projects, that you have long time not crunched.

Indeed it should if they did not agree. But the latest was returned over 14 hours ago as I type this and a third has not been sent out, so it does appear to be lost . . . temporarily I hope.

Why so? Seti and CPDN are keeping my 4-day cache filled quite adequately at the moment :)

When your cache is empty, you can crunch other projects. I have seen, lots of users have the default cache installed.

Again, I wonder if perhaps this is a project which is adversely affected by its success in terms of numbers of clients. Perhaps some active encouragement of diversion to other projects makes sense.
