Ouch......not exactly a milestone, but the Frozen Penny has taken leave of the top 20 computers....too much playing around with ram timings, couple of crashes, not enough crunch time. And I have promised to do some pre release testing for lunatics tomorrow as well.....so........... I'll be back............. Noticed that the penny had taken a dive. I'm sure you'll pull it back up soon. A remarkable piece of overclocking. My milestone:- Just cracked 2000 RAC for the first time. Just passed six threes! Next stop six sixes, then.... duke who has been on for a very long time. At present my most efficient is a MacBook Pro laptop with two processors. Uses about 34 watts and does a unit almost as fast as the MacPro box with four processors. I couldn't wait for the eight headed monster. This big box uses about 240 watts and that really spins the disk in the watt-hour meter. Both have power factors of about 0.99 so the current is almost peaking at the top of the voltage sine wave. So the laptop wins on bang per KWH! ID: 815246 · |
