Well enough I got phone heckled.

So that runs in the family?!

"By the way, who is this?"
"You don't recognize my voice? Exactly how many children do you have?"
"Usually I claim none."

LMAO If I was mother of Misfit I also would claim I don't have any children! Good one! She really got you there, didn't she?! LOL I really like her sense of humor.

A tree is nice. :-)

So you went out two evenings in a row to celebrate your anniversary? Then you can say you had it properly celebrated! ;-D

I usually don't bother to read the gossip about movie stars, but I read an interview with what's her name, her who played with Richard Gere in some stupid, very unrealistic movie about a "working girl" who met a John (Richard Gere's part) who happened to be very very rich, who later married her, that she enjoyed that she and her husband married right after midnight. Then they had a wedding celebration, before the ceremony, and then a wedding night, and they still had a wedding night the night after, because it still were their wedding day. Two wedding nights for one marriage, that must be nice. ;-D

Finally home.

Last night just before I was about to go to bed, I zapped a bit on the tv, and then I found a local tv channel, which showed a lecture with a journalist at the local newspaper, who has started to write thrillers where he uses our town as the background location for his books. He told about how it was when he moved to here, how he experienced the town, and then he later moved to here and settled down. As a journalist he knows the town and the harbor very well, so it was very interesting to hear him tell about it. He also played a chapter from an audio book version of one of his book, which takes place where I have been many times, so the images I formed in my head of the locations by hearing that chapter was of course correct. The whole lecture took about 90 minutes, so I got to bed rather late. Later than I had planned and much later that what I had to to get that amount of sleep I needed.

He told that one of his other books was based on a true story, about a Russian seaman who was found in a lifeboat, and the crew from his ship was missing. The ship was brought to the harbor and the police had the Russian seaman suspected of murdering the rest of the crew. The case was never solved, as no evidence of murder was found, the bodies from the missing crew were never found, so he took this as the jumping-off for his thriller, where he made a story about what eventually happened on that ship.

The case is mentioned here:

http://www.meerpahl-meyer.de/eng/chronicle.asp

"A tragic event for every person involved takes place on 18th August, 1993, on the M/V "Bärbel" (deadweight 2800 tons) managed by Meerpahl & Meyer. The ship is on its way from London to Rostock. On 20th August, 1993, the ship is found close to Esbjerg without a single crew member on board. The Russian seaman Lapin is found in a lifeboat. The rest of the crew keeps missing. Some experts guess that the Russian seaman Lapin killed all four other seamen and the captain and then threw them overboard. The seaman is arrested provisionally and later, in an indication process taking place in Osnabrück, he is condemned to a suspended sentence of one year."

That case was a big mystery, Lapin was held in prison here for some months where the local police tried to find out what happened, both to the other seamen and the captain, and why Lapin was found all covered in blood in that lifeboat. They never got out of him what happened and why he was on that lifeboat.

So I'll take a nap now and go to bed early tonight. Later...

Saturday afternoon--We ripped out a dying Weeper in our yard and planted a new Red Maple.

Then we went and saw Bevery Hills Chihuahua --it was cute but funnier then I expected.

Then we went to the steakhouse for 12 oz Prime Filet Mignon. Dessert was Pumpkin Ice Cream and Chocolate Cake.

Sunday we relaxed and watched football before going out for a less financially demanding meal :)

Iced coffee served for Parasite:

There's an ice cream cone to go with it, but eat it fast or it will melt down over your fingers in the heat down there. ;-D

Sunday morning. Back to normal time again, ahhhh! Now it's not as dark in the morning, but it will be dark at 5 PM here.

And Christmas is coming soon. Yay!

Now, coffee for me.

And coffee for all.

And when I have finished my coffee, I think I'll go back to bed and get some more sleep or read a book... It will most probably be more sleep. ZZZZZzzzzzzz.......
