Concerning my previous post and ML1's reductio of the same, I meant no offense. I'll be happy to red x the post for removal if it is too much of a temptation reminder. No problem...I need all the reminders I can get. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Just remember how happy the kitties are now that they don't have to breathe second hand smoke. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

17 more hours under the belt. Time to offer a celebratory round somewhere... I'll have a few celebratory rounds Thursday night.... No cigs, another week of work finished, and off all next week for Pierce's annual 4th of July factory shutdown........ I'm still waiting for it to start to make a real difference in how I feel, but I hope that is still coming..... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Mark, Great to see you have kept smoke free for 2 1/2 weeks!!! Keep up the good work! I am trying....but so far it does not seem to be getting any easier..... The urge to stop and get a pack after work late at night sometimes is near impossible to quash.....but, so far, so good. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Mark, Great to see you have kept smoke free for 2 1/2 weeks!!! Keep up the good work! The main reason for that is because it was a thing you habitually did. Is there another route you can take home from work? Not going past the place where you bought smokes every night may help stave off some of that urge. Congratulations on over 2.5 weeks stopped smoking, Mark The cravings are still there, but the best part of 20 years training on a route is a hard habit to break. As Knightmare says, retraining yourself may be part of the exercise now. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Mark, Great to see you have kept smoke free for 2 1/2 weeks!!! Keep up the good work! Good advice KM. And when it does get easier, you still can't let your guard down! Yesterday I was visiting a neighbor that smokes, the thought of having one passed my mind..... After 3+ years! I know it's because I'm bored, having been off work due to back problems. I find that most of the time that I think of it is when I drink. Drinking & smoking seem to go hand in hand. If you have that problem, you should try avoiding the situation that makes you want them. After two weeks, the physical part of the addiction is becoming mostly over, & now the cravings are more psychological. Don't underestimate the power of the psychological end! That's the thing that made me want a cigarette the other day.... after 3 years!!! How did the Melatonin work for you? Account frozen... |

Yup....the thought processes and habitual part of it are gonna be the hardest to overcome....even when you know it the back of your mind what is really going on up there.... The Melatonin seems to be helping with the sleep problem a bit....thanks for the hint... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
