Congrats Monday, I guess I missed it by a single post...Still haven't managed to report all of those WUs my computer crashed and wouldn't load Windows so I am having to repair the installation and hope I don't lose it all... not looking very promising...very worried that the 350+ WUs will be completely lost. I had uploaded them but after 20 minutes and being extremely tired I went to sleep, When I woke up Iapparently the power had gone out and now I guess the boot sector was completely currupt. It was hanging in a Windows boot without giving me any users to log into. I am very curious if there is a way since it was uploaded to still receive the credit without actually completing the report. Not exactly sure on what that specifc part of the program does. I haven't lost all hope...YET.At least I still have another computer to work on in the meantime.... |

I found that it works with vista as well anyway :) I don't know for sure if this will work, but it is worth a try. Right click on the my computer and select manage. Find the drive that you want to manage and right click it then select Change Drive Letter and Path. You might try adding another drive letter and path that was the same as your old drive letter. Like I said, I have no idea if this will work, but it might. |

Rq: Yeah I am afraid that is the only solution but was hoping it was not...It isn't just BOINC that is messed up there is a whole SLEW of services including my Firewall and AV software...I had just got them performing where I was happy with them too...Usually the case I've way to much experience installing various AV products on my machines for one reason or another...I know some place in the registry it has to be holding the location of each service and the directory to load it from, it is just a matter of finding it. Oh and it is XP, BTW |

Rq: I was poking through the registry and didn't find it, but there is so much in there that it would be hard to find. |
