The problem just now seems to be with confirming credits. It has been almost instant in recent days but now two results the same are left pending on several recent work units. I guess it will clear during the day,

Like everyone else is reporting - there seems to be no problems U/Ling and reporting/acknowledging results, just no new work being D/L.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Whatever the reason, the system hasn't recovered from the weekly outage & looking at the graphs it's progressively gotten worse & worse.
And the forums are taking forever to load as well.

After about a ten hour break, downloads are starting to come down. As yet have not built up any waiting WUs.

Network traffic is around 10Mb/s, usually it's around 40Mb/s. And there are no new Work Units being created, it's just the Ready to Send buffer slowly draining.

[START PANIC]Whatever this issue is, it has been affecting my returns for four days at least. I can't see I am the only cruncher affected. My pending list is seldom higher than 1,000 creds for long. Presently, it's cruising up towards 2,400 It would be nice to think it will clear up in a day, but I don't think so. [NO END TO PANIC] (lol)

I'm not obsessed by winning credits. But when the pending list more than doubles, it's a sure sign something's not going right.

I currently have 858.51 points in pending credits on 20 completed wu going all the way back to 24 Jun 2008 22:43:08 UTC.
This is 5 times the number of returned wu I usually have in pending on an average day.

Maybe anakin has turned into Darth Varder already. I don't suppose there's a server named 'Luke' laying around to save us :)

As far as I can tell these are the Servers Seti has right now, Someone likes StarWars, Disney, DC Comics, SciFi, and History, I wonder does Disney know? Hopefully the Project got permission to use those two names from Disney, I also hope I'm worrying over nothing.

Best regards.
Logan.

I was finally able to get a batch of WUs at around 1953UTC. Two WUs with ARs around 1.5 have already been returned; the wingmen have to report back.

The Message Boards are still slow...

Looks like the Cricket Graphs are working hard at over 90Mbps.

This is the hardest they have been worked in a long time.

No wonder I now have WU results to U/L and report, etc.

Even though my RAC has dropped over 2,000 points, at least pending is now going up (nearly 80%). Before the RAC was dropping with no increase in pending.

All here is working fine... uploads, dowloads....

Try to stop and restart BOINC or reboot like Mark suggested.

Best regards.

Here are serious problems with the Seti-Servers. There are more users with the same problems like me, for exsample: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=8169375
His computers can´t communicate with the Seti-server, too.

It is very unlikely, that my 3 computers got the same deffect at the same time at the same project(SETI@home), but they communicate(d) succesfully with other projects(MilkyWay@home, Cosmology@home).

Have you tried rebooting your rigs yet?

Of course I have, more than once.
Stopping and restarting Boinc -> no effect.
Rebooting -> first no effect, later one computer got contact to the SETI-server. My second compuer got acces to the SETI-server imediately after rebooting after a Mediaplayer- & Internetexplorer- & Windows-crash.
My 3.rd computer: stopping and restarting Boinc -> no effect; rebooting -> no effect, too. Now I have 411 ready crunched and uploaded WU´s.
EDIT: my Quad has now acces to the SETI-Server too, and I´m happy.

THX you very much, and I´m sorry for my bad english.

Looks like things are starting to come back.

After a long time of not being able to upload, one of my rigs was able to upload a result at 1:34 pm EDT (17:34 UTC, I think)

Servers have come back up again, for the second time tonight.

For how long will they remain up, I wonder?

I got the servers telling me that my account key is missing, but it is not.

Thu Jul 10 13:28:29 2008|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds of work, reporting 8 completed tasks
Thu Jul 10 13:28:34 2008|SETI@home|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks
Thu Jul 10 13:28:34 2008|SETI@home|Message from server: Can't find host record Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key.

I have uploading just fine all along and getting a work unit every once in a while, but I do have a lot of shorties on my system right now.
