I believe that it was in 1984 that a friend of mine took me to a concert in Orange Country, California featuring Peter, Paul, & Mary along with Bette Midler. It was a great concert and I really had a tremendous day for the outdoor concert. The only down side was that Orange Country, California is strongly Republican, and when Peter, Paul, & Mary song their new song "El Salvador," more than a few people in the audience shouted out catcalls. But like the Dixie Chicks, which were reviled for their "unpatriotic" views, they like Peter, Paul, & Mary have been for the most part vindicated by historical events.

And so nice that you are feeling well enough to chime in, Mr. Dog! Hope you are on the mend from here on. And here's another PP&M song for ya...Don't think twice, it's all right. Great version. Be well.

El Salvador

BTW, that concert was on my birthday.

...and my next favorites are...Where have all the flowers gone... and of coarse Puff the Magic Dragon. My mother loved that one and couldn't believe it was about evil Marijuana!

El Salvador
SNIP...

I love this song simply because it is up front and hides nothing.

Quite brave of them.

PP&M have always denied that 'Puff' had anything to do with Mary Jane. And I am sure that Mary Travers would agree.

And Doggy, I hope you like that nice version of 'Where have all the Flowers gone' by Mary Travers and the Kingston Trio.
