.... that BOINC projects just cannot K.I.S.S.! Why do they have to use that piece of crap, phpBB, for their fora? Just use the one that comes with BOINC. K.I.S.S.!!!! The one on Riesel Sieve was set up "automagically". Yeah, right! I try logging in and it says my username and password do not match. I try getting my password sent to me, it says my username and e-mail address do not match. GO FRELLING FIGURE!!!!

When you are sent from any other BOINC project forums to these forums, you need to make a new posting account.

These forums are completely separate from any of the Projects. They are available for BOINC specific problems. If you have problems with any science application post on the affected Project forums first.

All PhpBB based forums require separate registration. They are not the default forum that comes with BOINC. It is the same at Spinhenge and SIMAP, and the CPDN phpbb forum.

Well, I guess I need to explain this a bit more for those that cannot comprehend my initial post.

• 1. Using BOINCstats' BAM system, I signed up with RieselSieve.
  
  
• 2. I went to RieselSieve's website to log into my newly created account.
  
  
• 3. I saw that the RieselSieve site had automagically set me up on the phpBB message boards with an account.
  
  
• 4. I tried logging into the phpBB message board account and I am told my password and username do not match. So to speak.
  
  
• 5. I tried getting my password e-mailed to me. I got a message that my e-mail address and username do not match. So to speak.
  

Ok, is that more clear now? I am not seeking any help, I am venting frustration because of this. There is no way to set up an account with that phpBB message board. At least none that I could find. I sign up with a new project, cannot post on their message boards, cannot promote the team I am on, etc.

SETI is the hub of the BOINC world, hence, I come here to vent. Can't vent on RieselSieve now can I?
