Heheh. Thanks very much.

Robert DeNiro is a loner, a misfit, who gets a crush on a young prostitute he doesn't understand at all (played by Jodie Foster), and becomes determined to use whatever violence is necessary to "free" her from her pimp.

In this particular scene, DeNiro is talking to his reflection in the mirror. He's dressed in an undershirt and has a gun strapped in his shoulder holster. After asking a few times, "Are YOU talking to ME?" He whips his gun out at the reflection and says "BLAM!" LOL

It's not just the scene itself, but the wonderful acting of DeNiro, as he works himself up in getting offended about being pretend-addressed by his reflection that makes this scene a classic bit of comedy.

So, since you're talking to me...what do you have to say? ...what? ...WHAT??!

<checks his pulse...72> Not bad, considering how much coffee I've had today. LOL

I'm very frustrated at my cable company, though. I pay about $125 a month just to get all the movies, and there isn't a single movie that's above **1/2 stars tonight. AARGH!

I've given up on television and haven't watched any in more than a month now...All i miss is baseball...The rest is nothing but really bent reality shows...and mostly crappy movies that i couldn't sit through even if they paid me to...I get most of my entertainment from YouTube these days.

I'll look into that, and maybe start reading books again, before going to sleep. That's what I've been using the movies for, you see.

The cable services are disappointing in their sports packages too. Some nights they show several baseball games, other nights only a few. But one thing I can tell you is that they sure don't show every MLB baseball game, not by a longshot.

Good night Beets and Dan.

I'll sit here with a coffee studying the sky, which is bright sunny and warm. No rain for today, which is unusual related to what has fallen just recently!
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

disillusion

the seeds have long been sown
and now the fields are overgrown
filled up to overflown
with disillusion

the world just holds it's course
like a rider rides his horse
still riding to the source
of disillusion

(bridge)
why, can't we see
what we've already done
it's not too late to change
who's gonna be the one?

the hungry want to eat
you can hear their marching feet
marching to the beat
of disillusion

people hiding in plain sight
trying to make a wrong a right
they will never dim the light
of disillusion

Good morning Dan, Mike and John!

John, I'm sorry I didn't include you in my good nights last night, I thought you had long left. It just goes to show that you should never make assumptions about who's on and who's not. ;)

Dan, that's a fine piece of poetry indeed. You have a gift. A suggestion for the third line? "Filled up to overflown"? It rolls better on the tongue for me that way.

Coffee anyone?

I have thought about changing that line for years...but have never pulled the trigger on the change until now...Thanks for reaffirming my doubts about it...Now i must change it wherever else it may appear.
