Cheers Breaking what I said, since I was brought up directly: As I said, people would consider me "cold and heartless". Being told to be "more optimistic" is a kinder, gentler derivative of that... The "you'd understand if you've been through it" stuff is presumptuous and somewhat offensive, but I'm going to let it go. I've been used to getting told similar things when I tell people that they should check into these claims before forwarding emails about. The typical response is "I was just doing a good deed, I don't see why you're upset" or "JUST HIT THE DELETE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!!!", the anger oozing out from them... Optimism is that the child becomes well, to which I am eternally hopeful. My position on the snail mail is one of pragmatic realism. He has no chance of beating the record, because Guinness has disallowed competition in that category due to the damages caused by Shergold's attempt. Due to the human nature of "do a good deed", this request, while legitimate now, will almost certainly be showing up in mass emails 5 or 10 years from now. ID: 572425 ·

I'm not that type of person. You simply misinterpreted the message. Please explain to me in detail how the above quote could ever be offensive. Sir, I have one more question for you. Have you ever seen the broken look on the face of a terminally ill child? I know I have. Please understand here that we are not grabbing anyone by the throat and forcing them to do something against their will. This was just a simple post to raise awarness.
