Last modified: 8 Apr 2007, 14:56:24 UTC Mine looks similar, but has a slight stripey effect from the Rotary mower. Well usually so does mine, cos I use a rotary as well (Flymo Turbo Compact 300). But it wont show until it dries out a bit and I cut it a bit closer. I am not sure if my cuts is tighter than yours, but for the first few cuts I tend to make it higher. That way, I don't end up with a lawn full of Moss. After the next cut, subject to rainfall, I will be adding lawn sand, from B&Q, to encourage green growth and eliminate the weeds. My Rotary is petrol driven and has a 26 inch cut. Despite its width, it still takes me well in excess of an hour to cut the lawn (front and back).
