Message 460549 - Posted: 18 Nov 2006, 0:27:58 UTC

I have just come back from a little wander on the Net as I was looking for a dentist for my hubby who is very nervous of dentists. I chanced upon a 'legal' site where people can get free advice about problems they have had with their dentist.
You wouldn't believe the language they were using with each other. The insults were flying like leaves in a whirlwind. Having just seen that and coming back here, I feel as if I have just entered a church. This place is really tame now, but I am not complaining - just making a comparison.
I don't suppose it's a subject I should be dwelling on really but I just had to mention it as it seems so hilarious.
That's it. I won't make an issue out of it, but I had to say something.

Well I'm off to bed, I really don't need history lessons at this time of the morning, besides I'm sick of hearing the same old tosh, over and over and over again...

Night all

iX can you tell us what you name is supposed to mean? Besides 9?

Yes! I'd love to! It's simply the name of a planet from the Scifi book "Dune" by Frank Herebert. Ix is the machine planet which made many of the thinking machines that enslaved humanity, and then produced the hi-liners that allowed freed humanity to travel vast distances in space without moving; called space-folding. From here to the other side on any universe in the blink of an eye!

I reversed the capitalization to make iX, to make it mine. It was never meant to be 9. Because 9 is not the name of a planet LOL.
\\

In fact Ix was the ninth planet in its system.

Au contraire, Gamekeepers are best when poached...though stir frying is pretty good too.

Well I'll be.. I didn't know that. Maybe it was too obvious, but they should have called it Pluto :)

In the first Dune book, called 'Dune', there is a 'Terminology of the Imperium'. This is what is says about Ix;

IX: see Richeshe

RICHESE: fourth planet of Eridani A, classed with Ix as supreme in machine culture.

Good afternoon happy punters, and a lovely day to will to. It is here, and also windy as well as being chilly.

Crawled out of the sack a little while ago, but had to sort out some I. T. problems. The latter always seemed to take hours to sort, I don't know why?

Lively debate going on in a few threads? But, I think I'll go and get myself a coffee and a newspaper, then sit down for a quiet chill!

How are you diddling nobody and Timmy?

Glad to hear that you are both well and the day is progressing kindly.

Don't let the work spoil the weekend nobody, and congratulations on turning another year tomorrow Timmy. You are just entering that time of life when things really start to live! For example you can think about spending the kids inheritance?

Day is being fined and it looks like one of those quiet unassuming ones that turn out to be good.
