The one that has stuck with me for a few years now is this.
A wise man was asked how will the 3rd world war start,
I don't know he replied but the 4th will start with a bow and arrow
I still don't know where i heard it, or who said it.

Excellent quote. And all too true.

Air Cold, the blade stops;
from silent stone,
Death is preordained

Albert Einstein made this comment:

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

Well done. Thanks for clarifying it Keith. :-)

"It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

I wish today's politicains could figure that out. The admit it frankly and try another... part of the quote.

Churchill: Speech before the Commons, June 4, 1940.

"We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France and on the seas and oceans; we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be; we shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets and on the hills. We shall never surrender and even if, which I do not for the moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, will carry on the struggle until in God's good time the New World with all its power and might, sets forth to the liberation and rescue of the Old.", Winston Churchill.

If ever there was the right man at the right time at the right place, it was Sir Winston Churchill.

This report, by its very length, defends itself against the risk of being read.
