Firefox 2.0 is working fine in "Forums"!!! (YES!!!) I Posted a couple times; browsed through the whole Site, went back to the Portal Page and heard Blue Oyster Cult - OH YEAH; FF 2.0, and the "Forums", both ROCK!!!

For whatever reason; FF 1.5.0.7 at "Help ==> Check for Updates" refused to tell me about the existence of FF 2.0... (Weird...) I had to go to Mozilla.org to get it.

One new automatic feature in 2.0 that I like right off the bat is that it monitors what you type, when you type it; and underscores in red anything that "might be" a spelling error!!! (Great for you, Buga1... <Rib, Jibe, Jab... ALL in good fun, Buga1.) I know this will help me out as well as others.

I'm going to check out how "Forums" works with FF 2.0... I'll be back.

Chess960 MAC User/Client Challenge Update:


We now have six, (6), MAC Users Posted in at:

Chess960\\Chess960 Discussions\\Apple?

We need 14 More MAC Users to register for the Chess 960 Project and then Post that they are registered at the above link. JonasD, (head of Chess960), is keeping track.

We also need a MAC Developer; as JonasD has no one, at this time. By seeking for a MAC Developer now; I hope to keep things running smoothly when we meet and exceed the above Chess960 MAC User Challenge!!!

By no means am I trying to recruit anyone away from SETI@Home; however, for those whom are attached to multiple Projects - Chess960 is an excellent Project to add to your list! I am confident that we MAC lovers, Users, and Project Crunchers can and will meet and beat the Challenge! Once we have 20 registered MAC Users attached to the Chess960 Project, (plus a MAC Developer), JonasD will up the priority to getting MAC Platform Work Units for us all to Crunch on!

I am excited about this endeavor! I know this goal is attainable and worth the effort! Happy Crunching to ALL and to ALL a great Crunch!

Good Evening everyone, I have not been around much lately, town business and dealing with the provincial and fed eral governments have taken their toll, Damm this is almost like a job except you don't get paid. LOL Sorry i just needed to vent a bit. Now DWW i spent the day helping a friend out and as a result I may have the xeon 5160 for you at cost which will mean a huge savings on the total cost of your system. I am also looking at getting a 200gig sata 2nd gen Hd for your system for a really cheap price . i'll keep you and TL updated as I hear any news to get your approvel before proceeding. Buga take your time (my opinion) this is a lot of work keeping the forum up and running and all your work is appreacited.and everyone else who works to keep the forum goingand makes it a pleasure to visit. I still need a shirt size from Yea baby before i can send his shirt out so if you are checking in let me know, it's all printed and ready to press and send out as soon as I have the info. I think I am still missing a few names and info for the shirts so get your info to KM or me so i can send them out. also there are members who are not core members who did not qualify for a shirt under the origional terms we set up but i think they should all get one as they are also a big part of the team so I will be sending them all one as soon as i get their info. I will be busy the next few days but i will try to check in to keep up with the news.

I have not gotten any more info from team members. Susan and YeaBaby are ( I think ) the only two that have contacted me after their welcome to the team that I haven't gotten information from. Ok folks. Buga just contacted me about the difficulties that we are having with the forums.

He has done some research and has found a Free Hosting Service for the forums that looks to be a lot better and more reliable than the system we are currently on. He also mentioned that the tech support is much better for the new system.

What I have done is told him to go ahead and get us set up on the new system that he found. Therefore, we will be moving the forums to a new service as soon as things are all set up.

In the meantime, anyone who has something on the current forums that they don't want to lose, I would suggest ( at earliest opportunity ) they copy any of the posts into a text file such as Notepad or Word so that those posts can be pated into the new forums.

I know this is going to be a bit of a hassle, but I feel it is better to make the move now while there are a limited number of users on the system, than it would be to try to make the move with a larger population.

I also feel that it is better to go ahead and make the move, rather than wait for other problems to pop up on the current system.

Please be patient while we make the necessary changes and while Buga works on getting the forums set up on the new host.
