You bet. I'm stuck waiting for a furnace cleaning, otherwise I'd be outside too.

Man, I love spring!

Aw, don't. Ignore the thread for a while. I read your post there. Good stuff!

And I was impressed with Chris's post too. As a result of his post, Es blabbed out user Monday's secret identity. If I were a conspiracy theory kind of a guy, I'd be convinced that there's a place where TFFE get together to plot combined plans of attack...but I'm not. lol

I wasn't aware it was a secret anymore than it's a secret that I'm Es99, I distinctly remember discussing it with Kathryn in Rocky's a few days before she left.

Hey Es!

Well, that's between you and them. Rom was careful to avoid saying who Monday was. And it's not like DC Geelong used the same avatar for "Monday", as you have with Evil Woman...so it's a hard sell to tell me that using "Monday" wasn't an attempt to attack from a different username. Some would call that being... Nevermind, I wont call DC Geelong names here. And maybe he's a good guy, but he's sure went after me with a vengence, with (I suspect) your complicity or support.

But let's not brawl. If you say it's public, I can agree this far: it is now.

Hey B. I know that Mike is out, but I posted something for him in the linux thread. I believe he runs Linux on a box or two? (Haven't checked his 'puters in his profile - don't go poking around like that much.) That true?

Anyway, I'm trying to scour the Ubuntu threads for some useful tips. I'm not scared by CL inputs, but I'm interested in OS alternatives just for the plain ol' fun of it.

Ahh, spring cleaning, one of my favorite pasttimes. Can't remember how many times I 'passed' on it! <:^O

I'l check back L8tr as I have to run to the post office.

I realized the dead-end roads I ended up taking weren't always my fault. Many thanks to all that have helped in this - and you know who you are.

I just found the posts where me and Kathryn were teasing him about it. 12th May in Rocky's. I'm pretty sure he changed it a few days before that. It sounds like you are being a little paranoid to me.

Complicity or support? Unless he's a telepath I'm not sure he could how I could offer my complicity or support to him. You obviously credit me with amazing superpowers that I can only wish I were in possession of.

Am I that scary Beethoven? ;-)

Heyas Chris. Thanks for your posts, Guy!

Heh. I'm not the biggest fan of spring cleaning either, but I can't let it slide any further.

See you later.

Oh, about setting up your own forum? If you build it, I will come. :)

Heh. Read my post again, I said, "If I were a conspiracy theory kind of a guy...but I'm not".

Es, I just finished telling Siran on Rom's thread that I'd try not to post so much and would people please help me by not provoking me. So, may I say this politely? I'm not going to get into all this stuff with you.

My offer still stands in regards to a server...

That is 'Way cool' dude. I haven't the foggiest on where to start software wise, but if the hardware portion of it is available. I'll have at it.

My 'secret other self' (heehee-YES tainted barb! Dang the torpedoes, full speed ahead!) has always wanted to host a website, forum or other service to help new PC users, offer tidbits of info and recreation. I'm trying to learn HTML, graphics and flash (self taught, slow but I always get 'A's') in order to hang out a shingle. My dad (retired) has high speed cable, and he's always hinting around to come over and start a few projects using his bandwidth.

If you will host it, I will build it! (or at least give it one he** of a shot)
I realized the dead-end roads I ended up taking weren't always my fault. Many thanks to all that have helped in this - and you know who you are.

Thank you sir. I will send an e-mail from my main account. I'll do that first as I want to re-boot into the Ubuntu live cd and give a whirl.

Many thanks.

Thanks Mike for all you've done today. It looks like you had some fun on "The last person to post here wins" thread, too.

Good on you!

See you later.

Chris, you might want to have a look at http://www.godaddy.com. They have the best prices I've found for registering your domain names, all kinds of nifty kits and tools to set up web sites, and their support is just excelloent. (I know, because when I've had difficulties they've gotten back to me the same day.)
