This is great news. I remember going through IRB with my master's thesis. God, I'm glad I'm done with grad school.

And, if you're interested, my thesis was on whether 5 month old infants could add and subtract. Not that I belived that, I was trying to test alternative hypotheses about an already published study. Guess what... They can't!

When did you perform this research?
There's no way I could propose such a study where I am and at this point in time. Funny thing is, in MATH education, QUANTITATIVE methods (statistical) are frowned upon or at least if that is solely what is used.



Study was done in 2000 (?) (can't clearly remember LOL) at the University of Texas in Austin in the Children's Research Laboratory in the Psychology Dept.

My advisor was Leslie B. Cohen.

I'll dig around for the link to the article. I know Les has it up on his website. Well, I think it's aPDF of the article... it was published in Developmental Science...
